:yay:

Just looks silly

That whole movie was silly as hell, IMO. I watched the longer cut again last night on HBO. Wanted to like it, but it just feels like it was written by 18 year olds for a creative writing project, and they just did a story and dialogue that they thought would be cool, and threw a bunch of popular "serious movie" songs behind it. Almost every line and plot point made me wanna cringe

I use to have those movie trading cards as a kid!

Nice! Totally forgot about those.

Wow. Same here. And the Batman cereal, come to think of it. Crazy all the things in your life that you just completely forget about

Batman 89 premiered today 28 years ago.

Love it or hate it, it was a game changer.

Damn, I'm turning 31 next week. My mom tells me Batman was the first movie they ever took me to, with my older brother and his friend, and I was surprisingly not fussy. Must have had a huge impression on me. The first movie I remember seeing in theaters was Dick Tracy with my dad, my memory of it is like a dream, because it was so larger than life at that age. But those films had a big impression on me as a youngster. Will always love anything with that noir, hardboiled Detective, old gangster movie type of style (which is a major reason why Batman is my favorite fictional character)

A funny Batman connection I was thinking about the other day: My dad's first name is Wayne, my mom's first name is Vicki. My girlfriend's dad's first name is Gordon, and get this, she has a sister named Robin. Crazy

Is it too hard to make the official company line, "we won't be promoting Fox characters"? I mean really. It's blatantly obvious what they're doing, just own up to it.

Still hate this scene. It doesn't make any sense how it ends...and we all know how it was suppose to end from those set leaks.

Worst part about that scene was Joker's lines. Ugh. What horrible writing. You depict Joker as an idea, a state of mind. You don't make him say "I....am an idea! State of mind baby." Ugh.

Thanks, he's 9 months now. Got a right little personality. Already got him wearing Superman and Batman stuff :woot:

Congrats, wow I didn't know he is so young when you said you were a Dad a while ago. Mine little one does an attempted WW block when she sees Gal's posters, your little one will do the Sup stuff when JL comes out =D

Yes yes yes amen brother.

EXACTLY! "I execute my will according to my plan..." They made him way too self aware.

these are basically the HISHE in toy form. I love them

Heck I just had a problem with the eyebrows, but you guys are bringing up some more important stuff. Either way I've rewritten the Harley/Joker story in my head to better fit my sensibilities.

Mate I've written out Suicide Squad entirely. To me, that movie isn't a part of the DCEU...and I hope the film makers do the same.

Yeah and they've been doing it a while. All they're doing is alienating the people who want to read about these characters in comic book girl. It's pretty petulant.

Still haven't seen the extended cut of SS.

They didn't add a great deal but what it did add I liked. I really enjoy Suicide Squad, I love the characters and the films really fun.

You're likely to be disapointed then given the sequel and Gotham City Sirens are in development. Suicide Squad might not have hit with critics but it made bank and had strong legs. Harley Quinn was very well received from the film hence the green light for Gotham City Sirens.

I prefer the theatrical cut. What they added in the extended cut felt like deleted scenes

That moment you read something about the Mandela effect on reddit and tell someone about it with the notorious Mandela and Monopoly man example ... just so that person swears that YOU have already told them about it before (including the examples) - though you definitly haven't. Life imitates art.

Another reason I hope Fox never gives them the rights to Xmen.

Dammit. When you watch JOHN WICK for the umpteenth time and can't get this song out of yer head.
