Gave me the impression that that franchise is similar to Resident Evil movies, super powered protagonist against monsters with a stupid story and lots of slow motion action.

I can see Hathaway as a kind of androgynous villain(ess) of the type that Tilda Swinton might play. I'm not quite sure who that is in the DCU, but it would seem harmonious if she were an opponent of the overtly feminine and fleshy Wonder Woman.
