I liked Civil War but sometimes I wish we had gotten a Captain America: Serpent Society movie instead.

Haven't seen CW or any other Marvel movie since The Avengers, which bored me into a stupour.

civil war had its goods and bads... mostly corny IMO... maybe we can get captain america 3 sometime soon instead of avengers 2.5 :o

I enjoyed watching CW but it was nothing special for me.I dont care much for the Marvel movies nowadays(I used to like MCU much more but now it just feels so same). The Marvel Netflix shows on the other hand are absolutely brilliant and the day the movies can reach that quality, I will be back on that hype train again.

I enjoyed Civil War as well, but its rewatch value isn't very good, to be honest. Which is a shame, because Winter Soldier is my favorite MCU film.

I watched Civil War twice in 2 weeks and really enjoyed it. But never felt the urge to see it again after the 2nd time. Winter Soldier on the other hand has great rewatch value. Still my favorite MCU flick.

Sofia Vergara in a Wonder Woman dress, she's gonna wear it in a Halloween special episode of Modern Family:

Caught up to both current Marvel and DC comics

For Marvel, the best series is The Ultimates

As for DC, best series is Superman.

Marvel Comics are hurting quality wise right now. Sure, they look good but their stories are ****.

Only upcoming books I'm remotely interested in is Dr. Doom as Infamous Iron Man and Champions I think it's called with Cyclops and Hulk.

When it comes to the Ultimate universe I prefer the X-Men comics. I've never read The Ultimates but I think this is hilarious.

Different Ultimates, but yeah lol.

The only good thing to come out of the Ultimates universe was spider-man.

Thor in the ultimates universe made my eyes roll.

As for most current marvel comics, there is either serious pandering or just boring writing and it's becoming cringey.

I'm pretty sure they've noticed long before I posted that.

Prepare for the end of the human race.

MCU movies are all poor replay value because there's nothing underneath, nothing for you to learn, no character arcs. Winter Soldier has decent replay value but it's still juay straight forward.

But the GA, that's all they want, easy to understand, a few laughs, cool action and bright things. Really it's not far from the Transformers formula but has much better actors.

Thats a gross oversimplification and overstating imo. My favourite MCU movies are IM,CA 1, CA 2 and Antman. And I feel all of those movies have something to say, have good character arcs and have solid themes. Sure I find MOS/BvS to be more thoughtful and having more thematic richness, but I wouldnt go as far as calling the Marvel movies as dumb fun. I think both universes can co-exist as long as people dont call for all of them to be the same(which people have recently and that just makes me sad). I enjoy the Marvel movies for what they are and I enjoy the DC movies for what they are, and I dont condemn either of them for what they are not. But yes, currently the Marvel movies tend to be more 4 quadrant family entertainment, and they give a lot of joy and happiness to a lot of people, so they deserve tremendous applause for what they are doing, as its not easy, and all the plaudits they get are deserved. The DCEU movies have been more niche and bit untraditional. But I like that.

I don't really have strong feelings either way for the MCU. I just prefer DC.

The best directed movie in the MCU was Thor because they took a risk and used Brannaugh. I was excited for the direction of the MCU but the Avengers spoiled it all by being a disposable gagfest. Trying watching it now it's really poor on many levels. Winter Soldier seems to be a one off since.
Snyderverse for me.

Something very strange, but I never saw Thor 1.Will get around to it someday. The Avengers was great to me the first time, seeing all those heroes together, and some of the things were just so ****ing cool and awesome. However as you said, yes the film had poor rewatchibility. So I just skip ahead to the cool parts. But after a while the MCU got a bit same-note to me so the DCEU was a breath of fresh air for me.And since then I am more hyped for the DCEU.

For animated stuff, DC to me is dropping the ball recently though. I liked TDKR,Flashpoint,Assault on Arkham but apart from that I cant say there was anything else that I "loved".I havent checked out the Marvel side so I cant comment.

In TV though, Daredevil is miles, absolutely MILES ahead of anything DC has produced. Its my favourite TV comic show and I anticipate it even more than the Marvel movies.

Well thats my thoughts on the DC/Marvel thing on all mediums apart from comics.

I loved TDKR, Flashpoint Paradox and Assault On Arkham. Then I watched JL:War and fell asleep.

And yeah, Daredevil stomps. Best superhero show there is imo.
