Exactly! :woot: But seriously, if they start off with Halo: Reach and do it right, it can start off a very very successful Halo film franchise.

I'd love to see it and it would be a great way to start. Just depends if they want to introduce Master Chief at the beginning or not.

People today often complain about writers with political agendas working in comics, claiming it was "more subtle" in the past...

That puts me off whichever viewpoint they're coming from.

Was it stated somewhere that Joker and Harley were planned to be a part of SS2? I always assumed they wouldn't be in it, and that they'd want to introduce new recruits, because Harley and Joker both are both escapees of Belle Reve, and thus out of Waller's control.

Good point misslane!

True.

Exclusive : Shazam! screentests have kicked off!

Casting on Warner’s “Shazam” began last week, with a wide casting call alerting agents of young actors large and small (yep, seems Warner are taking a cue from the new “Star Wars” flicks here and are opening themselves up the possibility that their lead might be an unknown) that the Billy Batson role is a hole that needs to be clogged. The Henry Gayden script, which has a beautifully balanced tone of superhero adventure antics and welcome humor, much in the same way both “Ant-Man” and “Spider-Man : Homecoming” did, will be an amazing showcase for a tween thesp. The cheeky dialogue, the likeable nature and Batson’s crucial emotional arc will likely make that chosen actor’s career. David F.Sanberg will likely be spoilt for choice here.

While Black Adam won’t be appearing in the film (rumour is they’re having Dwayne Johnson debut the character in the next “Man of Steel” film), the Shazam family and more faves from the ink world will. In addition to Victor and Rosa, and staple buds Eugene, Freddy and Pedro, you’ll also see quite a bit of The Wizard.

** Slight spoiler here ** Billy’s mother features in an interesting sequence, reminiscent of some of the stuff in the last season of “The Flash”, that’ll pull at the heartstrings.

Speaking of “The Flash”, it would seem the time-altering antics in his debut flick “Flashpoint” will have an effect on this one – and other DC films – but remains to be seen just how much. Fun idea to have the new crop of DC films find themselves slightly modified by the speedster’s actions.

Anyway, long story short, screen testing for Batson has begun, as have the other roles, so we should hear some casting announcements by late September.

Thanks. I admit I have a hard time seeing a logical reason and purpose for Joker to be in a Suicide Squad sequel given he's not a member of the squad and neither is Harley at this stage; he even felt shoe-horned in the first movie. The only ways it works is if one of the pair -- Harley and Joker -- or both of them have since been put back into custody, or if they're somehow the antagonists. But then, if they play that much of a role, I can't see the value in doing another full movie including them or shoving them into a Suicide Squad story as distractions from developing other characters who don't have spin-offs to tell their stories.

I do. Deadshot and Amanda Waller are great characters played by great actors; the movie doesn't need Harley. New characters like Poison Ivy can grab people's attention. I'm okay with Harley and Joker in almost cameo-like roles, but that's it.

With so many characters, I wouldn't be surprised if it will be something close to that. Just because of their popularity (esp. Harley's) and also for the publicity for their spin-off. Joker and Harley being around and their presence felt as they cause mischief, but so many characters they don't have to be around too much (just like Joker in the first movie.)

Amanda Waller should be the central focus/character, and it should be about who she recruits. I felt she was the most interesting/successful character in the first SS. And Rick Flag and Deadshot are the relatively stable/reliable ones on the team.

I may be late when I say this but after having watched "Arthur: The Legend of the Sword" for the first time, I have a newfound appreciation for "Man of Steel" and even "Batman v Superman".

My god, that film was terrible in almost every way. Heck, the sequence involving Arthur going crazy on all of his uncle's soldiers with his sword in the finale of the film was just poorly shot and looked like a video game. A LOT of the CGI backdrops and sequences made whatever quirks that I had with some of MOS's and BvS's visual effects diminish entirely.

And I completely hated the way that they edited the film where sequences were out of order (even though that I knew it was an intentional artistic choice).

Geez, Guy Ritchie hasn't made a great film (that was great from start to finish) since his first Sherlock Holmes movie.

I tried watching "King Arthur" but I just couldn't get into it. Same thing with "Warcraft" and the third Hobbit movie. I feel like I should watch them, but just can't.

I always go to the movies alone. I have no friends.

Aw, mate.

None of you heathens are "saved." Let us pray.

What? Casting fairly unknown actors as their leads in these movies isn't a first for WB. Lol.

Maybe I'm out of the loop, but I've never heard of moviehole. Is it legit?

It's an Australian movie site that's been around for a number of years. It's not a site prone to posting movie gossip and rumours at all, mostly movie news and reviews. But it is run by people who work in the industry, who produce movies etc. I trust it because it's unusual for them to post any news of that kind, that it could be because they heard it from someone in the industry.

I've never had a problem with the Flash suit on the TV show. Now the OTHER suits on that show (like Garrick's and Kid Flash) are another story. But I thought Colleen Atwood did a good job on the original suit. Looks like something he can actually run in, which is a plus for that character. Flash is usually portrayed as the skinnier Justice League-r in comics and animation, so I've never understood the urge to bulk him up. That's not what that character's about.
