There were two offensive things about Seydoux/Craig and neither of them was an age gap:

1) the fact Monica Bellucci was in the movie and yet this chick got more screentime than her
2) their total lack of chemistry

Yeah. I loved how Keanu played him. I thought he really pulled it off. The rest of the cast was perfect. Tilda Swinton as Gabriel. Peter Stormare's Lucifer was the best portrayal of Satan for me thus far.

Yep to all the above. I find Keanu quite watchable compared to most people.

Also for all of those movies before Iron Man and MCU and DCEU they were at least memorable, most of them. Marvel is doing the same thing these days and sure it's always good time at the movies while DC is at best divisive, but stuff like Daredevil and Catwoman was so awful and hilarious no one was defending it and it was memorable. Now things like BvS with so many fans on one side and those who didn't like it on the other side cause friction among movie fans. Because BvS, even if I disliked it had some good things in it while something like Daredevil was just a mess. But good lord I always watch it when it's on. There are no words to describe the delight that is Colin Farrell's insane performance.

And there were genuinely distinctive, good films before the 'new era' like Constantine which still to this day holds up and is better than most Marvel films imho, Blade films were also really good (Trinity is bad but it's so entertaining), I also remember liking The Punisher with Thomas Jane. And the whole thing with the music too - Passive from Cosntantine is amazing and while ridiculed a lot Daredevil soundtrack was pretty cool. At least those films felt different from each other and you didn't know where the story goes. Now it's all formula (Marvel) and fear if it's good (DC)
