With so many characters and not much build up, George Miller would've gone for maximum impact with these characters right off the bat. After what he did in Fury Road I wouldn't be surprised if JL:Mortal was quite violent. With WW quite savage, and Superman this relentlessly rampaging monster during his mind-control. Maxwell Lord getting a nosebleed sounded like a nice touch. I read the comics the story was based on (The OMAC Project, Superman: Sacrifice, Tower of Babel etc.) Superman and WW really do get into a bloody brawl and that certainly could've been played up onscreen. A lot of severe things happened to the League, as they were all taken down (by their weaknesses.) I mean, Martian Manhunter and Aquaman would've been tortured.

It could've been a cool movie, but I don't think there would've been as much character development and depth as what we got in MOS and BVS and WW etc. Simply because of time constraints and the lack of the DC shared universe at the time.

I agree with you regarding the character development for each member of JL --it would have been minimal in favour of action heavy sequence. JL Mortal might have been a lot of fun but I think that the production design will suffered and become dated.

A lot of people were not familiar with George Miller --I knew a long ago that Miller's action films tend to be violent and more in hardcore R-rated 1970s vein. Miller is more like a 1970s director. However, he demonstrated a very good ability in directing dramatic films evident in Lorenzo's Oil, The Witches of Eastwick and Babe, Pig in the City.

Yeah I was always a fan of the original Mad Max, which was huge here in Australia. Miller did quite a lot of diverse work. I really liked "Happy Feet". I remember him saying that when his children were young he made those movies like Babe but when they grew up he returned to the violence for Fury Road!

It's funny, today I was looking through an old phone and I found this (blurry) pic I took of George Miller after he did a talk on Fury Road at the Sydney Opera House. (It's blurry because I was in a mad crowd! Plus I was a bit excited meeting George!) I actually got to speak to George and I said how I wished he had made Justice League:Mortal, and how I was a big DC fan and was hoping he would direct Man of Steel 2 (this was when he was being rumoured to possibly do it.) He replied that he might not have the time anymore!

George Miller is credited as an Executive Producer for Justice league, perhaps due to some legal reasons as he was involved in the earlier JL movie project.

I wonder if they screen the movie for all those Executive Producers who are associated with the movie in name only capacity.

Edit:I think he was seen on the sets of JL ?

Watching "The Mummy 2017".

If those chains were meant to hold her down, why was there even a mechanism to bring her back up?

Finished it. Liked it, but yeah, it's a mess. I really liked Russell Crowe as Dr. Jekyll. Plus there were some cool action scenes.

This is another film I have been meaning to watch but finding it hard to get the enthusiasm to actually do it.

That's great that you get to see Miller. I saw the original Mad Max back in the 1970s/80s. Miller's Mad Max were quite big then and were influential in theme like post-apocalyptic wasteland film.

Eventually, Oz will probably become like Mars --with all the iron, sand dunes, lake deposits and dessert. lol Think that it's because the continent lacks mountains, really big mountains. New Zealand, the Americas, Europe and Asia all have substantial mountains.

I was actually pretty excited to watch it! Give it a whirl, don't expect greatness. But it was entertaining enough for me. :yay:

Yes sometimes it has to do with the rights and so there is some ownership/copyright that some previous people involved.

George has stated quite a few times how he grew up as a DC fan. It's possible that he could've visited the JL set when he was still considering directing a DC film?

He seemed to have been interested in doing a DC film for quite a while. There was also that WW concept art that came out a while back, when he was considering making a WW movie in the late '90s. Who knows if he would be interested anymore. He has seen them stuck in development or fall through like JL:Mortal.

Oh no! Haha...Well, it's already all desert in the middle!

I probably will check it out. I want the Dark Universe to work (even if they did step on WB/DC's toes with the name.)

Apparently, Passengers (Jennifer Lawrence Chris Pratt) is a decent movie that got bad reviews, if anyone has actually seen it just share your rating here.

Interesting, had no idea that Miller was associated with Wonder Woman movie project in '99.

It was ok. Saw it on cable. If I paid in theater I would have been miffed.

It's a pretty weak film. It has a very interesting concept that was completely botched, IMO.

3 our of 5 star movie. It has its issues but wasn't as bad as some made it out to be.

I would much rather have those failed comicbook films then not have them at all. I'm sad JLMortal isn't sitting on my shelf right now. The same thing with Burton's Superman. I just want them to exist.

Also, the JLMortal script was pretty straight forward. His Batman was more in tune with his feelings tho. lol

I don't feel that way about Superman IV, Superman Returns, Daredevil, Green Lantern, Fantastic Four(all of them) or Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, just to name a few. Those films were a huge disservice to characters I love, so why should I be glad they exist.

So that Titans series now has its Robin. All this Titans news related to the show makes me wonder if the Titans in the DCEU may be pushed to the backburner. I have nothing to base that off of, just baseless speculation. Plus, we've got Cyborg and know that Nightwing is on the way. Maybe Titans come down the line, if that's in the works?
That just reminds me of how a buddy and me suffered through Gods of Egypt. What a piece of crap movie, lawd.

The scene with the old bald bastah on his spaceship shooting the cloud creature with his laser staff was 10/10 hilarious though.

Decent enough choice I guess. I've already seen some people complaining that he isn't of Romani descent. This crap has to stop. I'm sick to death of it. Are they going to shame this dude out of the role like they did with Ed Skrein? And this isn't even whitewashing.
