Ha! No way, foul temptress! I'm going into this movie as clean as possible! :argh:

Did Cap ever have a beard in comics?

Yes, after he quit being Captain America for a while.

I saw RPO this morning and I loved it. The third act was so, so, so f**king awesome. Iron Giant, [BLACKOUT]Mechagodzilla and Gundam[/BLACKOUT] !!!!!!!! F**king hell, it absolutely blew my mind. I was grinning from ear to ear when [BLACKOUT]TMNT and 'f**king CHUCKY'[/BLACKOUT] appeared. I also loved when Parzival & Artemis was dancing to [BLACKOUT]'Staying Alive'[/BLACKOUT]. That was really cool.

I loved the 1st & 3rd challenge while the 2nd one didn't do much for me. I probably missed all the horror references (I haven't seen [BLACKOUT]The Shining[/BLACKOUT] either).

What do we have to do to set this right?

That good, huh??

I'm not into horror movies so I tend to skip most of them. But I might give that one a try in the near future.

I prefer jump-scares to atmospheric horror. That's why I have some amazing (read blasphemous) hot takes for some of the 80's classic horror movies. :D :ninja:

The Shining has both. Treat yourself dude.

At least get familiar with all the output of Kubrick's works. There are no bad films in his filmography.

Check the youtube posted by barringer82 -- 'the films of stanley kubrick' that beautifully summarised Kubrick's films.

Just saw The Outsider; I really liked the performances, yet...

Just watched Thor Ragnarok.

:funny:

The movie felt kinda meh to me, but I discovered we actually have the Edda in a box full of old books in our house! so I started to read, now I really dislike the movie. :funny: Those stories are so fricking gritty and brutal and captivating. Quite the opposite of that comedic snore-fest.

Like just yesterday I read some tale about Völundr. Holy ****, he was captured by an enemy king and had to make stuff for him since he was a blacksmith and craftsman. As a revenge, he lured two little sons of the king into his workshop where he was captured, killed them both, made cups out of their heads, jewels out of their teeth, and sent that to his captors, the parents, king and queen as another things he made for them. Then, he lured their daughter in, gave her some drugs into her drink to make her fall asleep, then, yea, you guessed it, he banged her, so she's pregnant with him, carrying his child, but it was all written such that you just had a creepy feeling what he did and it was explicitly revealed later when the king came to him, looking for his children.

This is the kind of stuff book about Thor's myths contains. I think once I start reading the Ragnarok stuff I'll smash the room's furniture one by one due to the overload of my frustration. :funny:
