The only way to counterbalance this travesty in the making is announcing Villeneuve as steering the ship.
Denis' on record saying he's not the right man for the genre (at least with regards to American comic book characters).

I'm cool with him venturing into deep sci-fi. That needs artists like him more than CBMs.
 
Agreed about Goyer. The GL franchise had its biggest success under Johns so I kind of trust him more. But it's only story credit by Johns, the actual script is written by Goyer and Justin Rhodes.

IWhen it comes to writing movie scripts, I trust Goyer far more than Johns, his ideas are full of movie cliches and familiar troupes, while all that works very well for CW's DC properties, for movies, Critics dismiss all those ideas as "derivative writing".
