Listen to the voice of Nic Cage as Superman.
i got a love/hate relationship with SF.
issh is too pricey there.
hate to drive and trying to find parking around there.
lot of crazy homeless folks round there.
but i love the restaurants, the bars there.
went to lot of cool concerts there.
and i got nostalgia for chinatown because i use to go there on many a weekend with my family when i was a kid.
Great for entertainment, but would never live there, even if I had the chance. I would imagine it be like living permanently in Vegas must be like, great for a 3day weekend, but actually living there is not a good vibe, man. lol
Went to this one joint and a goddamn bagel and a small coffee cost me 10 dollars, fam. Did I get charged extra cause of the goddamn view? I don't care if Steve Mcqueen drove by in that movie through there, it should not cost that much.
I have to go into SF 2-3 times a week for work related stuff, and I have grown tired of the city. I never got the charm or awe of SF. I have gone to them rich 'Get Out' parties (where I'm one of the few brothas there lol) and to the most hipster hangouts etc. You can venture into chinatown and if you know the right folks, you can walk out with a legit rolex or omega watch at a reasonable price, just dont expect any answers as to where they came from. I call that guy Yoshi, not his real name, but it sounds close.
C'mon Chip, that's nonsense! How dare characters named Ant-Man and The Wasp be light hearted?!
I want Hank Pym crying over Janet's grave in slow-mo with montages of ants running over his face in the rain.![]()

"Akin to a cartoon", the context is usually over-the-top and silly for a specific age range.anything that's based on fantasy can be compared to being a cartoon
and some of the best films i have ever watched are "cartoons."
the miyazaki stuff?
straight up kids movies but with depth.
i don't care as long as its a good story.
and if it's fun and emotionally moves me? than great.
let's get past trying to nitpick at stuff just so we can maintain tribal loyalty. lol.
Well you didn't consider the merit of my "dismissive remarks". You just condemned me for them on the basis of them being offensive to the fans. So it really doesn't matter if they're legitimate, based on your own line of reasoning.
Btw isn't Pratt just a guy who likes to hunt? But sure put me on ignore. I really don't care. And no, it's really not hyperbole. I just described some scenarios from those movies and if you think they aren't cartoonish, then you live in your own reality. (which would explain a few things actually)

I rarely take it as an insult, but it does weird me out when the cartoons over here & nowadays especially aren't as ambitious or trying to appeal to as many different demos/genres. Animation isn't a genre.
You definitely have cartoonists and animators working tirelessly on these live-action movies, no doubt about that.
That's why I'm stoked for Into the Spider-verse and absolutely confused as to how a 2018 Mary Poppins is supposed to feel special.

I can't wait for Peyton Reed to reveal all the symbolisms on Vero in a few years.

The man should be leading his own superhero flick and not being the sidekick.
