Whether one agrees or not as a fellow actor that you are/were better in a specific role, to call someone out on public domain is pretty bad form.
I love Rosenbaum’s Lex but agree with this.

Are these costumes some kind of joke?!

Robin looks good.

Djokovic just won the last 2 grand slams & @regwec was a big fan of Djoker. This is an ideal time for him to make a comeback. Maybe you're right, he's probably fed up with SHH. :(
Yup. He was a Djokovic fan & I'm a Federer stan. But our tastes in female players were very similar. Garbine Murugaza & Monica Puig were our picks. It's sad that we won't be able discuss our faves anymore.

Me and wife are big Djoker fans, maybe we need to take up regwec's mantle here...

Smallville didn't really play it safe, which is why I guess a lot of people hated it. lol

They used plenty of elements that would be deemed "familiar", little things that either consciously or subconsciously would connect to the Donner version: the William's theme, Kryptonian crystal technology, "Great Caesar's ghost!!", and many others I don't care to remember (I disliked more than I liked about the show).

That to me is the "Superman curse"; the Donner movie had such a cultural impact, that most people are not willing to accept anything that doesn't resemble it at least a bit.

Even people who've never picked a comic book in their lives will claim to know what Superman is and isn't, based on that movie and will aggressively reject anything that doesn't resemble it.

I talked to such people; it was painful.

Most definitely the reason why they chose her; "Hey, do we have anyone who looks like Margot Kidder???"

When it comes to the Superman franchise, particularly on TV, the mantra seems to be "let's play it as safe as humanly possible"; the more Reeve-nostalgia filled and familiar they can make it, the better.

Boring.

At this point I'll take "boring" over whatever the ongoing car crash is with the film division, unfortunately. Hopefully we get confirmation of something soon.

Happy BATMAN day

I know there were many similarities but the show always tried to be its own thing. Its tendency to stray from the classic mythos and reimagine most of the characters in a modern way was one of the main reasons many fans looked down on it so much. It was cool to bash that show long before it became cool to bash Cavill's Superman. And you used to hear some of the same type of complaints, this guy is Clark Kent in name only, the "real Superman" would never do this or that, they take more time to try to expand their version of the DCU, as opposed to write the main characters better, etc. I started hearing those complaints 15+ years ago, to think I would still hear them today about the cinematic universe this time, feels really nostalgic to me. lol

Robin and Dove are the two designs I've actually liked of what we've seen so far.

Hawk and Dove are the best designs on the Titans.. looking at stills, it may or may not work in Live action but they look neat in photos.

I feel grateful that I was young enough to not really get into all of this. I enjoyed the live-action Static Shock for what it was. :oldrazz:

I honestly dont think they look bad. Hawk looks really good in fact. I'm not expecting these shows to have movie sized budgets with the costumes.

Lol. That's not a good idea at all unless you & your wife are interested in talking about the hottest looking WTA players. That's what I meant when I said 'discussing our faves'.

Whoever is marketing DC Universe should know that dark, edgy treatment of Titans is not going down well with general audience, this is not Daredevil or Jessica Jones.

Titans should be fun like Justice League. :o

I'm surprised they're aren't marketing Young Justice even more as it has a solid and loyal fanbase

I'be fine with the gritty tone of Titans if the trailer didn't look that cheap.

I'll be fine with the tone if the trailer didn't give me the impression 'So bad it's good'.
