Wonder Woman's biggest shield was it being a really good movie. I have a feeling Aquaman is the same way.

What'd he do on IG? I just googled and couldn't find anything.

Back when Cavill had the illusion of deserving A list kind of money and his team presumably leaked that WB wants to let go of him and there was news he is out as Superman he recorded a video of himself lowering a Superman doll on instagram. As any professional actor and grown up person who is thankful about having fans would do.

Remember there was all that drama about Cavill being let go as Superman? He posted this video on IG as a sort of response:

Apparently this is being deemed toxic and hurtful to the fanbase

Ah, gotcha. I vaguely recall that but I don't see the big deal.

I didn't know he had 6 million instagram followers though :funny: Good for him, his career is gonna be fine.

I can't believe I'm actually going to interject here and post this but I think it's a good thing that Cavill & Affleck aren't at the premiere since their presence will bring questions about their future involvement in the DCEU and it'll create some unnecessary drama.

The Aquaman cast doesn't need any of that. It's their moment so it's a good thing that there appears to be nothing distracting or awkward during the press tour.

How about Snyder? He has to hide his toxic self away and gets no credit for flying Jason in, sitting him down and choosing him to be Aquaman?

@markjoedelonge just stop embarrassing yourself. The sooner you deal with the precious trio you defending causing their own downfall the better. ooh! Snyder did well casting!!! Well by own means give him all the profits from the movie

I'm done talking to you, branch out, see what people say, gather some information. CBM boards are biased, you should know that by now

I would’ve actually been very happy to see him there

Jason clearly feels like he owes a lot to the guy and I definitely give Zack Snyder credit for that move. We could’ve gotten a blonde white guy who would’ve done well I’m sure, but he saw something and took a risk and from what I’ve seen so far and what I’m hearing about the new film, it was a good risk to take.

Nothing toxic about that. However, I will agree that the two actors showing up might raise questions and controversy about their status with the characters.

You know, you have a really toxic attitude and I've been observing the way you behave towards other members on here, how you like to pretend your opinion is fact and how you've actually been rude in many of your posts. And if you actually READ my post, you would see that I only mentioned Snyder. I accept Blitzkrieg's explanation and I agree with him. I was only curious about why Snyder should have to hide away when he's the one that cast Jason in the first place.

Exactly, just countless "Ben are you back as Batman?!" questions. People didn't tune in for that, they wanna know about Aquaman and the future of that particular franchise.

Gen. Zod is Aquaman fan.

I don't think his presence in a premiere event will negatively impact Aquaman in any way. Nor do I realistically think Cavill or Affleck's presence does harm to the movie and the goodwill it has generated in the past few months. But it's probably for the best that these guys are giving the special events a miss. The press are going to be there and they'll ask questions that'll be hard to answer and it'll just make the situation awkward.

Plus Jason is very grateful to Zack. Jason always credits Zack for giving him this role and believing in his abilities. I don't think Zack is getting the short end of the stick here.

I do recall Snyder being at the Wonder Woman world premiere

And I’m pretty sure that movie was received well in just about every aspect
I fully expect Zack and Deborah Snyder to be present at the WW84 premiere, Zack is Producer for the movie, in case of Aquaman, he is Executive Producer, so his presence is not really expected.

Snyder was also a co-author of WW story, wasn't he?

REgardless, it's London. Even the actor playing Manta wasn't there, frankly I'm surprised Wilson came

No, I was joking, actually it's from premiere of movie 'Complete Unknown' at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.

Damn, that's a shame, it would be epic if he walked in during that weather in this summer T shirt lol

I think unfortunately due to the drama surrounding a) Zack and his JL movie debacle b) Henry and his status as Superman and c) Affleck and his status as Batman and the status of the Batman movie in general may have deviated some attention to those hot button topics if they were at the premiere. The journalists wouldve been all over that. In a perfect world though, it would have been nice to ser them their to show support especially since Snyder created this Aquaman. So, in that sense I see what @harlequinade is saying in that it may have only drew drama towards an event that is supposed to signal a new beginning.

With that said though, I still think at some point or another someone at WB is gonna need to address the whole thing and nip it in the bud once and for all, especially since Zack is back it on Vero teasing the SC.

That TheWrap article predicting 100 mln OW is really.....a choice. Has there been as competitive weekend this year as the one Aquaman is opening? There's just too many films to spread audiences for anything to have strong OW

Exactly. Several people flat out said if Snyder would be involved no way they would go see it because they were burned so many times. Many of professional critics already mentioned him in reactions even though he has nothing to do with the movie. How would that play if he suddenly showed up to the premiere? Not that great lol And if two who were continuously involved in some drama - lot of it just because of their actions - only contributing to the perception DCEU is a mess showed up it would be even worse. This film has already so much going against it it doesn't need the reminder of failures past. People wanna get to know characters and see them in future films. No need to have a reminder of 'well don't get attached, it won't last!' in their faces. Zack and his Vero was what I was referring to. He keeps stirring the drama, maybe unintentionally but we all know how his fans are.

Also - I think you guys overestimate what general public knows. There are MANY people who think Venom is MCU because of the logo and Stan Lee in it. I was reading friend's review lately and he kept going how Venom is refreshing and he wants him to meet Guardians I'm like "oh boy"

They see someone on the premiere, they assume they are part of something.

Also, not for nothing but Jason's given Zack a lot of love publicly. He never shys away from giving the man props when it comes to his contribution to this whole thing.

He even called him 'legendary Zack Snyder' in his new video :P

It's not like Snyder cast him and got no credit. But what do people expect, a golden statue for him because he did that?
