I don’t believe those 4chan rumors but I would be SO here for a Miguel Sapochnik-directed GLC movie. He was the one GoT director that had me going “somebody get this man a blockbuster!”

LMAO what a difference 30 years make.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Uslan, who produced 1989's Batman, explained the iconic Michael Keaton-led film almost didn't come to be. Warner Bros. "only saw value in Superman," so he encountered push-back when trying to negotiate for the film rights to Batman.

I do believe we'll see Supergirl fight Braniac on film before Supes does. I have grown to like the character, but goddamn if it ain't hard for me to not twist the knife at supe fans. I'd probably end up like Joe Pesci (Goodfellas) as soon I walk through that door by their hands, but i'm trying. Bats gets a star walk of fame before Supes too. Lawd.

Those rumors just seemed way too juicy not to repost here. lol Besides I rarely ever see this type of detail in most "scoops" I usually stumble upon. To go from character descriptions for supporting cast who don't come from the comics, to writers rewriting already rewritten scripts isn't something I tend to see often from scoopers, which is another reason this caught me off guard, since it's not like it comes from some scooper who may have heard something legitimate but decided to embellish the story to get more clicks. I just didn't get what would someone on 4chan gain by meticulously making all this stuff up.

Superman

Written and directed by Rian Johnson

Clark Kent walks into the fortress of solitude for the first time.

Jor-El hologram approaches, but before he could say a word, we see Clark Kent give him a salute goodbye and walks away. He passes by the Superman suit and simply shrugs, eh.

The fan reaction alone would make that movie worth it.

You can post literally anything on <insert number>chan as anonymous as a user on the internet can be. On top of that, new and popular threads cyclically bury the old and then the old eventually get shredded to make room for the current archive set.

Fair enough. I still think it's not impossible to be another ViewerAnon situation, cause what are the odds after all.

Just saw Lost Highway for the very first time, and what an experience!

David Lynch has been one of those guys I've admired for years now, based on what I know of him and his work and approach more than the actual work (has that ever happened to you guys?? Maybe it's kinda weird), and a problem for me has always been accessibility, since most of the stuff I find of his in my paid services are dubbed in German... or Twin Peaks (which I'm a few episodes in).

Either way, derailing here... that was a proper mind twister and one I feel the need to watch a few times to "get it" (although I'm pretty sure I got everything that needs to be....gotten??).

I've also forgotten how hnnnnngggghhh Patricia Arquette was in the 90s.... :hmr: :hmr: :hmr:

Chris Hemsworth with another bomb to his name without Marvel. I'm not surprised he signed on a new contract with the mouse. lol

And yet another “lets bring back this old franchise but put a new woke twist on it” bomb as well. Next up to bat: Terminator.

Yup. BUT I have a nostalgic feeling for Terminator, so I will sit there and watch, just like I watched Daenerys and Boomerang try to kill her own son from the future, who looked like a more handsome version of John C Reilly.

Just like I'm watching Shaw and Hobbs do their version of Tango and Cash, even tho the bald guy killed a beloved character from the franchise. Also, the first transporter and Anna would make a great double feature, which I plan on doing after that is released. First Transporter flick was good. That asian gal from that flick deserved more hollywood mainstream love, I would've even paid to fix her front teeth. Eh.

Is this the final nail in the coffin to the big budget career of those Iron Man writers?
I feel like the best stuff outta Dark Fate will come from the one scribe who isn't also doing GLC.

Hasn't Terminator literally been about a female hero from the beginning?
But frankly, like Alien, it's a franchise I don't see why they keep trying to bring it back. There hasn't been one that was a complete criticial and commercial success since the 80s.

Aliens is a classic tho.

One of the things that does bother me of Terminator flicks is this insistence of bringing back Arnold. He served his damn purpose after T2. That's it. I'm probably in the minority on that.

I would love to see a balls to wall violent type Old Man Conan flick, directed by Zack. A middle 50 million type budget, no creative chains on them, maybe he also has a hot daughter, who he unwillingly doesn't want to pass the throne to at first, but his son was killed in battle and all that. Go crazy with creatures this time.

What other horror movie monster is there you can identify just from a guy's mug and a glowing eye behind a pair of shades?

I will not give Terminator Dark Fate any money. I am 99.9% certain they’re going to kill off Linda Hamilton just to shock people and because that seems to be the trend nowadays. I hold T1 and T2 very very fondly and i refuse to watch the franchise get mangled any more, i dont care how much they splash Cameron’s name across it.

True, but I have no beef with that being the calling card for the first and sequel. Still, his thumbs up melting lava moment should've been it. The liquid Terminator T2 and the hot terminator from T3 at least tried to give us something different, villain wise. I would still be on board a new Terminator flick without old man Arnold. I'm in the minority.

*Christian Bale voice* Oh Good for You!

Oh, man, I use that "good for you" line all the time, in my head thinking of Bale-voice.

I don't follow ice hockey, but bravo for the effort.
