Lounge of Justice - Part 90

I think some of you know my thoughts on the multiverse angle given MCU's Spider-Man 3, so I'm all for it as long as it's done well.

watched WW84. i enjoyed it.

but i can probably agree with the criticisms about it that others have brought up here.

its fun and cheesy, and i did like some of the themes.

but the movie's probably got lot of plotholes if you start to think about it.

i did appreciate how different it was from the first film - which is still the better one.

As long as the movies are good I really don't give a **** if it's part of a shared universe or not. The bumbling of the initial plans shows that setting everything in a shared continuity or having a "plan" for a crossover is not the automatic magic bullet some fans make it out to be. See also: just about every other franchise that's tried to be a shared universe other than Marvel and maybe F&F and the Conjuring movies.

I watched RoboCop remake for the third time since its release and that movie deteriorated a great deal for me upon repeat viewings, I loved it first time I watched it, but that affection didn't stick.

I want to quit MCU, wanted to leave it behind after watching Endgame, but I loved Far From Home after weakening my resolve to not watch it cause I wanted to watch Mysterio in liveaction, he's a fun villain. The third Spider-Man could be a cluttered mess that will leave me wondering what happened after watching it a first time, so I'm not excited.

I might watch Fantastic Four, Shang Chi, and sequels to Black Panther and Captain Marvel, everything else seems like it wouldn't change my life to skip these movies, nor would it -presumably- affect me experiencing and odd movie here and there.

As far as shows go; Moon Knight and She-Hulk could be promising.

Revenge (2017)

I assume there’s a few of you who’ve seen this and I can probably guess who. This was awesome.
I thought the ending was laughable.
That moment when they are chasing each other in a circle...

Yeah that was not a choice I would’ve made, but it wasn’t bad enough to derail the experience for me. I loved the main character’s progression. Total badass.

I'd say mostly everything, but more recent genres I've been listening to are Indie and Synthwave.

Are you into/familiar with Björk?

my older brother bought her debut solo album back in the 90s and use to listen to that alot.
i remember first time seeing her on tv performing with her band the sugercubes.

how is her new stuff?

lately been listening to some other 90s stuff like teenage fanclub.

u?

I would definitely check out the rest of Björk's solo discography, especially the Homogenic album, that's her masterpiece.

Right now I'm listening to a lot of Cocteau Twins, they're a fantastic 80s/90s dream pop band.

Really into loafers lately.

Lol realized I never finished this thought. But yeah, been trying to step up my leisure wear game with some smarter looks. Got a pair of all white Sebago’s that I love and just ordered a pair of Weejuns x Mr Porters. Have also been wearing a mustache and pleated pants lol.

It’s like all of the things I hated as a youth are now converging into a singular style that I enjoy quite a bit. Crazy to think I was rocking skinny jeans and those long ass t-shirts just a couple of years ago.

oh yes, we played cocteau twins around the house back in the 90s too.

chapterhouse is another shoegaze/dream pop band we listened to too.

how about slowdive?

the robot apocalypse will have dance and a soundtrack now:

it's gonna be awesome.
the robot army will dance over the remnants of a scarred earth after having exterminated the human race.

holy hell -- that robot dog with the long neck creeps the hell out of me.

Anyone who finds this "cute and funny" has never seen The Terminator.

These things are terrifying.

"do you love me?" from the contours will now be the theme of the robot apocalypse.

how fitting.
after all, they are our own creations.

they just want our love.
if they can't have that, then they will just nuke us.

It's only a matter of time before someone puts a Sophia-type AI in these kind of robotic bodies. And when it will happens, we will all pray for them to only dance...
