You know, I’ll never be able to understand Nolan’s logic behind this creative decision.

Everything up to this point is totally fine. A bank manager going for his gun to try and prevent a major robbery in his place of commerce is a bold and heroic choice. But to have the manager do this dance after shooting at the robbers? Was he trying to convey his dominance? It’s hubris in its ugliest form. It doesn’t fit the scene in any capacity. Truly a jarring creative choice. Classic case of a minor character in a Nolan movie displaying an outrageous level of response.
