Anyone else getting a Revan (Jedi) and Bastilla vibe from Finn and Rey? When I saw the new trailer I couldn't help but make that comparison.

That you are pigheaded and foolish because the MSW spoilers have predicted everything we have seen in all three trailers, as well as Luke's absence from those trailers. Every piece of footage we have gotten has validated those spoilers.

LOL don`t mind them. They are the ones who are foolish. They spoiled the movies for themselves so they act all mightier than thou because they know more than the average joe about the film. I only heard a couple of things from those `spoilers`and i`m not going to bet against them, but i`m not going to take them as gospel either. Here's my synopsis of what I think is going on:

Luke is taking on the "Yoda" role in this film. Yes I know Yoda didn't show up until ESB, but that's why I think he's barely in this movie. Mark will have a bigger part in Ep 8.

The scene in the trailer with Luke putting his artificial hand on R2, is likely after his Jedi Academy is ransacked by the Knight of Ren. This will force Luke into hiding.

Except Mark Hamill has second billing in the cast after Harrision Ford, which makes me suspect Luke's got a pretty big role that JJ Abrams is keeping tightly sealed until the film debut.

No Luke is the center of the story, but physically you do not see him save for two scenes. The flashback of the destruction of his new Jedi Order, and the very last scene where Rey gives him his old lightsaber.

He is a big part of the story, it is all about the "Search for Luke". But technically he is not in it that much.

As Tony said above, yes it is true he will be more like the Yoda. We know he has already filmed some scenes last month for Episode VIII. I will bet he plays a bigger role in that. But TFA is about looking for him.

I can't wait, Luke was always my favorite Star Wars character. it so exciting to see Hamill back in the role after so many years, even though the Expanded Universe is no longer canon, those stores over the countless decades with Luke just made the character even more enjoyable, his relationship with Mara Jade who would eventually become his wife with their only child Ben Skywalker. ah…I'm getting to emotional

Love playing as Luke in STAR WARS: Battlefront, the character model of Hamill from Return of The Jedi is spot on. I wonder if they'll come out with The Force Awakens skins as a DLC package in December to promote the movie?
