EPISODE 2, CHAPTER 3
DAY 1 - 1:20PM
Norman walks down the steps of the safe house and down into the living room where Calvin Spoons and Audrey Pickering remain on the couch together watching afternoon television. With a cup of tea in hand, Norman walks towards one of the front windows and looks outside across the street, glancing casually at the neighborhood around him.
Directly across from the safe house, The Jaguarr's eyes lock onto Norman from the window through a pair of binoculars. He looks away for a moment and stares at the two dead bodies lying limply on the floor, resting coldly in puddles of crimson blood.
Down on the street, and inside the control van, a pair of M Hype-5 surveillance officers wearing communication headsets continue to try to contact the officers inside the apartment. A pair of Special Forces personnel sit close to the surveillance officers, awaiting any orders.
OFFICER #3: Bravo 1, this is Charlie 1. Come in.
They receive no response. The surveillance officers look at one another, clearly thinking the same thing: something is not right. The second officer motions to the Special Forces operatives, who quickly exit the van with rifles in hand and head towards the apartment. The first officer hits a button connected to his headset and chimes into Norman's earpiece.
OFFICER #3: (from the headset) Alpha 1, this is Charlie 1. We have a Code Yellow situation. No response from Bravo 1 or 2.
Inside the safe house, Norman's hand is to his earpiece receiving the message. He immediately turns to look at both Audrey and Spoons, urgently. Audrey notices Norman's stare and concerned look.
AUDREY: Is something wrong?
Norman turns back to the window with his hand to his earpiece and responds to the surveillance officer.
NORMAN: I'm not taking any chances. I'm moving them.
Norman swiftly moves away from the window.
SPOONS: What the hell is going on?
Norman puts his hand to his earpiece again, this time radioing in to a surveillance officer behind the safe house in a black car.
NORMAN: Delta 1, this is Alpha 1. We're moving them out. A Code Yellow.
The officer behind the house immediately starts the car.
Inside, Norman throws on his coat as Audrey and Spoons stand up from off the couch.
AUDREY: Wait, what's wrong?
NORMAN: We have to leave immediately.
SPOONS: But what about our stuff? Our clothes and....
NORMAN: (sharply) Your lives are a little more important right now!
On that note, Audrey and Spoons reluctantly rush out of the safe house behind Norman, who leads them through the back door and straight to the car waiting in the alley behind the house. The three hop inside the car and are driven off onto the road and clear away from the area.
Across from the safe house, the two Special Forces officers from the control van tread cautiously through a hallway towards the apartment where the other surveillance officers are suppose to be. The two turn a corner and immediately notice the door to the apartment swung open and the splatter of blood adorning the walls. They both grip their rifles tightly and step closer towards the apartment door. They stop and hug the wall a few feet away from the doorway, further tightening their grips on their individual guns.
They silently count to three and swiftly jump into the doorway pointing their rifles into the apartment.........but they find only the bodies of the two agents sprawled across the floor.

DAY 1 - 1:56 PM
Back inside M Hype-5 headquarters, Bella and Hunter enter the grid and begin walking towards their individual desks. Byrdmann hastily exits his office, immediately locating Hunter and Bella.
BYRDMANN: Mr. Ryder, Ms. Daniels, please tell me we have something on our hirer.
BELLA: Well, not quite, but we have another lead. What's wrong?
BYRDMANN: Two of our surveillance officers near the safe house have been killed.
BELLA: (shocked) My god.
HUNTER: What about.....
BYRDMANN: Norman's transporting Audrey and her fiancée to a south end house completely away from the city where hopefully no one can find them.
BELLA: You don't actually think The Jaguarr tracked them down that fast?
HUNTER: I wouldn't put it past this guy.
BYRDMANN: What did we get on our Mr. Badger?
BELLA: Well, I think we can scratch him off the list. He doesn't seem to have anything serious against either Audrey or Spoons. But he told us to take a look at Audrey's father, David.
Tzarinna immediately enters the huddle.
TZARINNA: David Pickering?
HUNTER: Yeah.
TZARINNA: We could look into it. See if there's anything he'd have against Audrey.
BELLA: But that's crazy. A father hiring a hitman to kill his own daughter?
BYRDMANN: "The crazier it sounds, the more likely it's true." Let's get on it. Every second counts.

DAY 1 - 2:41PM
A control van sits parked outside a small cottage in the hills nearly ten miles outside Miscfilms City.
Inside, Norman, Audrey, and Spoons stand in the middle of a much smaller living room with older furniture and antique decorations surrounding them.
SPOONS: How could this guy have tracked us down? I thought you people were suppose to protect us.
NORMAN: You're still alive, aren't you?
SPOONS: Oh, please. Two of your boys just got waxed and now we're running for our lives from this guy.
NORMAN: The man who's trying to kill you is a notorious and highly trained assassin who isn't going to stop until the both of you are dead. Stopping him isn't going to be easy, and as you can see, there are some pretty damn big challenges. We're doing everything we can, but things would be a lot easier if you weren't b****ing about something every five minutes.
Spoons begins to step hastily towards Norman in anger, but Audrey gets between them.
AUDREY: (to Spoons) Calvin, calm down. Please.
SPOONS: Whatever....
He walks out of the room. Audrey lets out a deep sigh and plops down onto the couch, her hands on her forehead in frustration. Norman sits down on the couch as well, rubbing the back of his neck.
AUDREY: I just....
NORMAN: You don't have to apologize again.
AUDREY: We're just....we're scared, okay? I mean, how could this guy have found us?
NORMAN: I have no idea. But, trust me when I say, we're going to do everything we can to make sure you two are as safe as possible.
AUDREY: My fiancée is......he's a bit of a hothead sometimes, but he means well. He's just.....
NORMAN: He's frustrated. I'm frustrated. Two agents I knew just died. And a part of me.....a part of me wants to find this guy myself and rip him in half for what he's done. But.....another part of me......
AUDREY: What? What is it?
NORMAN: Nothing. It's nothing.
AUDREY: You can tell me.
There's a comforting tone to Audrey's voice.
NORMAN: No....don't worry about it. I'm sorry.
AUDREY: It's okay. Look, I just want you to know that I appreciate what you're doing for us. I mean, people like you risk your lives to protect people like me every day, and no one in the world ever knows about it. Not many people can do what you do. I just....I just wanted to say thanks. For everything you're doing.
Norman takes her words deeply to heart. But he chooses not to completely express this.
NORMAN: You don't have to thank me. It's my job.

DAY 1 - 9:07 PM
Inside the grid, Tzarinna, Bella, and Byrdmann gather around a group of files laid out across a desk in the meeting room.
TZARINNA: It looks like Philip Badger was on to something. There may just be a motive for David Pickering after all.
BYRDMANN: And what's that?
TZARINNA: Well, our Mr. Pickering operated a large fashion company for decades. His daughter, Audrey, decided to open up her own clothing line underneath her father's umbrella. Next thing you know, Audrey's line blows up, sales skyrocket, and she becomes so big she branches off to create her own company. A short time later, Audrey's sales completely surpass her father's and she ends up buying out her father's company. David crumbles, and the media jumps all over the story.
BELLA: So you think David Pickering would want to get revenge on Audrey for all of this?
BYRDMANN: The motive is strong enough. We need to get eyes and ears on David Pickering immediately.
TZARINNA: On it.
BELLA: Did Hunter already go home?
TZARINNA: Yeah, I think so. Said he had "major arrangements".
BELLA: Did you try calling him?
TZARINNA: He didn't answer.
BELLA: Alright, I'll drop by his place and give him the latest.

DAY 1 - 10:01 PM
Bella exits an elevator and walks down the hallway of Hunter's apartment complex. Her dark brown hair is tied up in a ponytail, and her hands rest quietly in the pockets of her brown leather coat. She reaches Hunter's apartment, #269, and knocks on the door. She vaguely hears the sound of a few women screaming in pleasure from the other side of the door.
There's no answer, so she knocks again. Suddenly, the door opens with the chain still attached. Hunter is on the other side with his head in the gap between the door and the door frame, seemingly hiding his body.
HUNTER: (quietly) What the hell are you doing here??
Bella is perplexed, as she stares at Hunter as he tries to hide behind the door.
BELLA: Um....I'm here to drop off some assignment files.
HUNTER: This couldn't wait till tomorrow?? I'm in the middle of.....
A woman purrs from the back of the apartment.
WOMAN: Come on, Daddy, don't keep us waiting!
HUNTER: (continues to Bella) I'm in the middle of some very important interactions with a few friends of mine. I'll take care of it tomorrow.
He tries to close the door, but Bella pushes it back in.
BELLA: Hunter, this is important. We think we have a lead on the David Pickering angle, and I need to brief you on it.
From the back of the apartment...
WOMAN: Come on, baby! What's keeping you?!
Hunter turns back to the rest of the apartment.
HUNTER: I'll be right there!
He turns back to Bella.
HUNTER: Look, I understand it's important. But it can wait.
He tries to close the door again, but again Bella stops him.
BELLA: No, it can't.
Bella notices that Hunter is desperately trying to keep himself behind the door. She raises an eyebrow.
BELLA: Are you naked??
HUNTER: Maybe! Now leave! Please!
Suddenly, both of the women come up from behind Hunter completely naked but covering themselves with a silk sheet. They appear to be drunk. The woman who was yelling from the back looks at Bella.
WOMAN: Who's this?
HUNTER: This....um.....this....is....my...
BELLA: I'm his sister.
HUNTER: Yes, yes. This is my sister, Felicia. Felicia, this is Cocoa....and Cinnamon.
WOMAN: Oh, I didn't know you had a sister. You guys look nothing alike.
HUNTER AND BELLA: We get that all the time.
HUNTER: But, um, Felicia's gotta go now. So say goodbye to Felicia.
Hunter suddenly slams the door shut in Bella's face. Bella bangs on the door.
BELLA: Hunter?!
But he doesn't answer.

DAY 2 - 1:42 AM
On the roof of an abandoned apartment building, David Pickering stands and waits underneath the dark night sky. He's a tall man in his early sixties, with thinning white hair and black glasses resting on his prominent nose. He looks onto the streets beneath him watching the few cars passing through in the late night.
Suddenly, a cold voice breaks the stillness.
JAGUARR: You shouldn't stand so close to the edge.
Startled, David turns to see the assassin standing with him on the rooftop. The Jaguarr's hands are in the pockets of his long black coat. The shadows created by the moonlight cover his scarred and chiseled face.
DAVID: I take it the job isn't done.
JAGUARR: Not yet. But it won't be long.
DAVID: I payed you a pretty damn large amount of money. Why isn't it taken care of?
JAGUARR: Reminding me of the fee isn't going to hand you your daughter's head any quicker. There have been some unforeseen bumps in the road. But it's nothing I can't handle.
DAVID: That isn't good enough. If you can't get the job done, I want every cent back I gave you.
JAGUARR: For a man who's so ashamed of being usurped by his own offspring that he actually wants her dead, you sure are attempting to show a backbone here.
The Jaguarr begins to walk towards David Pickering. Each step sends a shiver down David's spine.
JAGUARR: You think a large bank account gives you power over someone who's killed? How does a man with money compare to a man who's ended the existence of others by his own hands? Do you think you have some sort of......authority over me? That I'm at your command?
The Jaguarr stands face-to-face with David. He bends over to whisper into his ear.
JAGUARR: (whispering) You....are.....nothing.
In a flash, The Jaguarr reveals a knife from his pocket. He immediately thrusts it into David's gut and twists it clockwise, then counterclockwise. He rips it out, and watches as David Pickering collapses to the ground, blood gushing from out of his stomach.

DAY 2 - 8:09 AM
Early in the morning inside the safe house, Audrey is in bed awakening to the sunlight. She reaches over to embrace Spoons on the other side of the bed, but she feels nothing. She immediately sits up and looks down. Spoons is gone.
She walks into the living room of the safe house, where Norman is sitting on the small, worn couch drinking coffee.
AUDREY: Have you seen my fiancée?
Norman turns.
NORMAN: No. No, I haven't.
He gets up and walks out the back door of the cottage. He immediately notices the M Hype-5 driver laying across the ground on his stomach. He rushes over to him and kneels. Norman shakes the officer, then turns him over. He's unconscious. Norman looks around the back area of the cottage. The black car is nowhere to be found.
