It's too bad they didn't get the Machete character to appear in the last Predators movie....i think it would have been a bit better.

Just watched this tonight, loved it but it didnt totally live up to the promise of the very first trailer in Grindhouse to me, and call me whiny but didnt like some parts of the trailer being changed in the movie either. Was still a blast to watch though and Alba, Rodriguez, Lohan and his nieces were all pretty damn amazing.

Thought Trejo was great, even Seagal wasnt too bad, although their fight at the end was a bit of a let down. I felt RR added too much story to it, but when the movie got going proper grindhouse style it was great, as were some of the kills, 8/10, not quite as good as Planet Terror for me.

I think they made the movie AROUND those specific scenes in the trailer.

For example, the motorcycle moneyshot from the trailer was just tossed randomly into the movie and it was not exciting or fun to watch.

Yeah that was a bit dissapointing that part, was expecting a bit more, loved it while it lasted, but was far too short and was expecting a bit more from that.

I hate that I missed this in theaters but I never had time to see it then. As soon as its out on dvd I wanna check it out. Loved the Grindhouse trailer and the actual film trailer looked good.

^I would say the movie made enough of a profit to warrant one, I just hope they dont add so much story this time, after watching Machete on BD again, I felt there was just far too much story added, it should have just stayed a simple revenge flick.

the machete kills thing probably isnt true. movies back in the day that were actually made in this style always had a sequel lined up, much like the james bond movies saying he will return in whatever. if they were to make a sequel i wouldnt doubt theyd call it that but i doubt its going to happen. altho i liked this film i dont kno if i would buy it for repeated watch. it was funny and nice to see what came from just a mock trailer fully realized but i cant say the story really gripped me. the humor is there but i'd really have to be in the mood to watch it

Yeah that was just the Grindhouse thing, if the movie had only made 2 million I doubt a sequel would be happening, but it did decent enough to warrant a sequel really, so I wonder what the delay is, maybe its because RR has a pretty hectic schedule as always.

I loved all the added story. It ended up making this film an excellent socio-political satire while still staying true to it's grindhouse roots

^Same here, they added too much story to the simple one in the original trailer IMO, and stuff that wasnt very interesting either, at least to me.

I found this movie to be quite boring. Drive Angry was much better.
