Mad Max: Fury Road - Part 6

What a character in Mad Max: Fury Road. What a villain! A quote of his in one of the trailers still gives me chills.
"It is by my hand you will rise from the ashes of this world."

Immorten Joe was such a memorable, great villain and just one of the many things that I loved about Fury Road. Such an awesome performance from Hugh Kaeys-Byrne and I completely forgot he was in the original Mad Max, but now I definitely want to re-watch those movies soon.

There’s an awful lot about Justice League Mortal that I’m iffy about, but I feel like he would’ve owned Martian Manhunter.

Well I definitely would have loved to at least see what he would brought to the role. Martian Manhunter is one of my favorite DC characters and it pains me that we still haven't gotten a proper, live action portrayal of him yet. With his level of talent I think he could have easily nailed the role, but sadly we will never know I guess.

Excuse me, WHAT?

That would’ve been… something.

In an alternate world he was also the star of Elysium and South Paw.

It sounds weird at first, but as good as Hardy was in the role, the Max in Fury Road could have been played by a large number of actors. Even though Max is the title character, he's really just along for the ride and it's more Furiosa's movie. Even Nux has more of an arc than Max does. There isn't a whole lot to the character other than looking and acting tough, which I think Eminem could have done based on 8 Mile.

lmao, each headline just gets wilder and wilder.

Did Hardy and Theron not get along during filming?

Hardy seems like a prick and a difficult actor to work with if the circumstances are wrong.

Doing a physically demanding role in the middle of the desert probably makes everyone a bit grumpy
