Mad Max

FYI, the combat is very similar to the Arkham games. Sort of like has that counter, strike, free flow thing going. However, you can also mix in your shotgun in the combos, which is fun.
Saw about this game on Game Theory, and the way Max moves from what I saw reminds me of Ezio from Assassin's Creed.

I'm so damn down for a Mad Max game. Have been since I first saw Road Warrior, and not just because Fury Road was finally unleashed on the world. Of which it was really baffling to hear how may people HAVEN'T even see Road Warrior to begin with.

But, even a decent Mad Max game would be awesome to me. I can really enjoy it, as a Mad Max fan. But, it's kind of astonishing to see them releasing it the same day as MGSV. I mean, the final Hideo Kojima Metal Gear Solid game...that's a tough game to be releasing beside for any game.

I just hope they have their expectations for sales in perspective, and that it's a good enough game to warrant positive attention.

Looks like 9/1 is Mad Max day, that's when Fury Road (and by extension the Quadrilogy set) comes out as well.

Like everything I'm seeing for this. But it's not a full price game for me. Gonna wait until it's around $20-$30

I'm getting it... But not on the 1st. That's Metal Gear day. What a crappy time to release a new IP.

Its a day 1 for me i think. Hopefully reviews come out early though.

I think it'll be worth buying I just can't. Haha. They should have had it come out like next week. I get tying it into the bluray release.. But damn, Metal Gear day.

I'll put up the VOD from twitch when it becomes available .

Watching gameplay for this, I am getting so excited. Looks like a load of fun. Nice and visceral, as it should be. Might get this over Metal Gear.

I'm gonna wait for reviews on this but I like what I'm seeing so far. It has a Shadow of Mordor feel to it.

I like that there isn't a parry cancel. 'He isn't Batman'

I'm getting it. Not over Metal Gear.. But my birthday is on the 16th.. So maybe then.

Well I actually just checked and due to me not spending the MS Point rewards I've been getting for a year.. I have enough to get it. Winning.

This is looking pretty cool, definitely gonna be grabbing it.

Yea im getting this as well. Prob wont play much until after Metal Gear, but ima go ahead and pre download it this friday when i get paid.

Mad Max Pre-Order Deal Comparison Chart.August 25, 2015 . 5:30pm

All the Mad Max pre-order deals & bonuses compared. From Steam PC deal to Xbox One / PS4. Discount is as high as 50% off (yup).

The September 1st-releasing Mad Max game from Avalanche Studios is getting some interesting pre-order discounts and bonuses via several retailers on all available platforms. The open-world post-apocalyptic title starts at the typical $59.99 list price on Xbox One, PS4, and PC alike… but discounts are rolling in – particularly for PC gamers.

The price break love comes mostly for the PC download version of Mad Max (Steam key). The cheapest deal belongs to 2game for only $26.99 – a massive $33 off the MSRP. But 2game isn’t alone in the discount game - FunStockDigital dropped the title by 54% after coupon (listed below), while GMG comes in at only half off (uh yeah…).

On the Mad Max console front, the discounts aren’t nearly so large, but retailers are still willing to tack on some bonuses. Best Buy might be your best bet – they’re tossing in a bonus $10 in My Best Buy Rewards. If you’re a Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked member, you’ll also get a 20% off discount to $47.09. Amazon offers a seven dollar discount to $53 if you’re a Prime member, with the discount showing up in the final stage of checkout. Also notable for the Xbox One version: the Microsoft Store has a $10 Xbox gift card bonus when you pre-order through them.

Mad Max Pre-order Bonuses

All of these retailers are tossing in the standard pre-order bonus “The Ripper” DLC pack. The pack gets you a fully customizable in-game car body which has good speed, upgraded exhaust, off-road tires, a ramming grill, and tuned suspension.

If you need a physical bonus, the only place you’ll find it is at GameStop in the form of an exclusive “Die Cast Magnum Opus” 1/64 scale car, which could make a nice little desk trophy or present for the kiddo. Or maybe you’ll find it gathering dust in your closet a year or two down the line.
