Magnum P.I.

Hawaii Five-0 didn't start off there originally. Maybe they don't want to put Magnum in the typical Friday night death slot. Maybe 3 hours of that is too much too. 2 hours might be doable.
true friday is usually a death sentence. But CBS is different from both Abc & NBC. for those latter most shows die . but but blue blood has strong fallowing be side's tom Selleck's fan base the reason it has such a strong fallow . it's the fact they they show the family having dinner together having discussion's about their personal current event per episode.

When I was working at a food bank as volunteer through last year I was talking a lady in her senor year who's grand mother etc. while she did like the shows of 5-O and the NCIS's she said blue blood's was her fave show cause they showed family far more often .

the other's only do it on occasion.

And CBS even though it's been made fun of for it is know as the old people channel y place like mad tv & SNL and some certain people. it's more due to it being a cable channel that work's when other channel go out etc to . but it's those factor's. blue will do well as long as it's on a good night & time. But it might be dangerous to move it as well as you said even though it didn't start off in that Friday time slot ether.

Perdita Weeks looked great this week in her red dress at the beginning of the episode. Nice to see her dressing glamorously. I hope she does it more.

They really seem to be playing up the flirtation between her and Magnum. Now she's doing up his tie. Could he really do it himself and he got her to do it, or was he really incompetent?

I wonder if she will later admit that she does consider Magnum a friend. She said she doesn't have many on the island.

it kinda reminded of what happen with Emma & ice man before thy went the path they went with him currently . ( though Emma wasn't that low thinking & condescending of iceman) But man, oh man does she dump on him. the shock at the fact that he knew something about art & the stuff she said in the police station after he was released and met the killer at the door with the lawyers. . lol JeBus women .

lol it'll be worse if she treat's both McGerett or Sam Hannah better. Well sam's well cultured. I'm just saying she goes too far in her preconceptions where insult are involved of Magnum

I loved the infiltration sequence at the start with Magnum in Splinter Cell gear. :D Beyond that this was the weakest plot of the 4 eps but the Magnum and Higgins chemistry/banter along with the TC/Rick banter still made it a fun episode.

Why did they get Elizabeth Rohm as the killer this week? She played a fairly major recurring villain already in Hawaii Five-0. If they're in the same universe, they shouldn't be having her play an entirely different character.

I suppose we'll soon be seeing Marc Dacascos show up as someone other than Wo-Fat. :o

Not much of Higgins this week except for a few babysitting scenes. I suppose they wanted to focus more on TC.

Well 5-0 has also mixed with NCIS and as a shared universe going back to JAG they are a franchise more like Law&Order where a defense attorney in a season finale can turn up as a detective (Lupo) in the next season's premiere than the MCU when it comes to a shared universe.

With Higgins it was more the original show portrayal perhaps they are reading online like they read about Staff Sergeant aviator TC and make changes pushing a Magnum/Jules field team more in episodes produced in the future.

So far, I’ve been enjoying this show. It’s not anywhere close to bold, cutting edge TV; but it works as lightweight fare. Except… I thought the last episode (about the young footballer and his dad) was bad - conspicuously so. And I was surprised that David Fury wrote it. (Usually, he’s much better.)

Considering this happened all the time with the CSI shows and has now occurred with the JAG/NCIS/H50 universe, it's not really that big of a deal.

Magnum will finally be wearing his Hawaiian shirt next week as Higgins had to replace Magnum's favorite shirt after using it for bait in Zeus and Apollo's training on a bite suit. Magnum didn't appear happy with it at first but after seeing it in the mirror, he seemed to think he could pull it off.

Hope he does start wearing it. But he'll need several.

This sort of offbeat case of finding a cat that leads into something else was typical of the original series.

Magnum might be interested in that mother of the girl who lost her cat, but you know that him and Higgins will probably end up together eventually. There's a lot of tension between them.

Another fun episode, the action stuff on the boat and underwater was well shot and I wonder if he'll wear the classic shirt Higgins gave him at the end. :D

From the preview of this week's episode, he is indeed wearing the shirt.

Now he needs to get his baseball cap back. He gave away one in the pilot episode, but surely a fan would have more than one?

I guess nobody wants Jay Hernandez in short and tight USN dive trunks?

He's worn a baseball cap on a couple occasions since the pilot so it's still there, but just not every episode.

This week's episode was pretty good. I liked how they drew parallels in the finding of the cancer patient/client's brother to Magnum having to find a military doctor to save his injured SEAL teammate, even down to the brother and doctor suffering gunshot wounds in nearly identical spots.

This Hawaiian shirt was not quite the same as the ones Selleck wore. It's more of a generic one.

Not much Higgins this week. I wonder what's special about the necklace.

Magnum sort of deduced that it was some kind of gift from Robin Masters based on the inscription but Higgins wouldn't confirm or deny it when he asked.

I thought she did deny it was from Robin. My impression was it was from someone else with that initial who meant something to her.

Magnum scored the post-AFC Championship game timeslot:

Nice win for the show.

Yeah she did confirm it wasn't from Robin, I think it might be followed up on in next weeks ep judging from the promo.

Well it didn't follow up this week. Instead it was a plot to find Nico Minoru's kidnapper. It was a bit more like a Hawaii Five-0 plot.

I thought it would have more of an epilogue where they'd wind down with some Magnum/ Higgins banter. This ended straight after the action.

I thought this weeks was the best episode so far, good character development for Magnum and Higgins, and a case with a couple of good twists.

They should've gotten the actress who plays Nico's mother in Runaways as the mother here.
