OH MY F-ING GOD CPT PANCAKE......we get it spider tim is either ripping you off or stringing you along till he feels like making the costume just report him 2 the police all ready so you can get your money back ( ill give you a better costume than he ever will ) or find out where he lives and get the suit but posting on here every 2 min is not helping any

Not entirely solved. After 20,000 posts this thread will be locked. There are only 140 posts left before we reach that max. After a couple weeks without a post, the thread is 'hidden'; only being available through a search. This forum is a big book of information, tips, and techniques. I myself have looked back through pages quite a few times while looking for an idea or such.

A lot of people have bought from spidertim, and the people always complain about him, and timing. But obviously that doesn't keep anyone (like you) from buying from him anyways. So you might as well save your breath, and the posts we have left.. There's nothing we can do about it, and no one on here listens to anything except what they want to hear.

Spiders... I cast up 2 of these HUGE spiders. Its just sitting on top of a shirt... as I dont have a blue hoody.

And secondly, oh man....I want a blue hoodie and a blue t-shirt with that symbol on it. Oh man that'd be so freaking awesome. Do you have like a .png or something of that spider that you could post for the public to use and make awesome scarlet spider t-shirts for themselves?

1) explanation of how its generally done (screenprint over 4-way stretch lycra, urethane webs CnC molded or clay cast, eyes done with..., shoes are often aquasocks)

2) who in the past and present offer these suits, webs and patterns

3) details about the movie suits, face shells, other minutae

That sound like a plan?

Most of these things have not been explained as of yet. Everything is Word of mouth you build a rep people share info with you or trade info.

I see no problem saying Who once offered suits to keep people for losing money. Or keeping people informed with fake EBay listings.

But saying who offer's what currently is a BAD idea. Unless you want Current venders hit with a CND! Once again word of mouth. Just can't Give a list of who sells what every time a new guy pop's on, wanting a suit. Most "Noobs" If you will are fly by nights That only find interest in a suit around the time a new spidey movie is in the works or premiering.
They come damand a suit See they can not afford one or find it to expenive so on & so fourth. Also Getting Webs & patterns A GOOD one is no easy feet NORE Cheap.

As Long as I have been reading the hype I find Real inofmation about the real movie suits extreamly rare. I found more info on the movie suit for spidey2 on the RPF in 2 post by a guy who worked on the film, Then I have read in about in 500 pages of this very thread. Real Movie info is a guarded secret. Due to two Reasons....

One: There are guys still working in the movie industry & could very well become black listed for Giveing out Info or screen used castings ect.....

Two: From what I have come across some guys are not willing to share info unless they can gain info from you or you can do something for them.
A trade off really most of the time... Understandible for some people this is more of a business then a hobby.

Gundam, I've been reading this thread for a fairly long time so I get what you mean about rep. While I agree that rep goes a long way AND I get that people make their living off of this type enterprise...the thread didn't start as an elitist, "we get to judge you" kind of thread...so why should the new one be that way?

Sure, there are recasters out there. Sure there are newbs who wouldn't know what to do with the information if you handed them a 2000-page pdf. But I really think it's a sad day when an honest guy who perhaps has some costuming knowledge (from LoH, WPE, Effects Lab, RPF etc.) can't come get information from like-minded individuals.

Is this conversation about an elite group holding onto information or is it really about the dream of making a suit and helping others do it for themselves?

your 100% correct. this page has gone way down hill you can only make so many thins b4 you start coppyin some 1 and get accused of recasting and when you all have the same gole all your work looks the same if you know what you are doing. i also feel that there is way 2 much favortisim on this board twards certan costume makers this thread was created 2 shair info on making a spidey movie suit or i guess any costume made along the same lines. and once certan people made a name 4 them selves they stopped shairing info or helping the little people as much as i have lerned on this thread and as amazing as my colabritave costume is with spidersuitmaker is i still help people who ask questions and rember that with out certan people i would not know a thing about this process. i hate to say it because at 1 time this thread was great but i for 1 amd glad 2 know that it will soon be a thing of the past back 3 years ago this thread was great but it has turned in 2 the biggest mud slinging power crazed mess of a board if another 1 is starte i truly hope that it is more like what this page was and not what it is now

I would buy a belt buckle and can you post the symbol on here? I can't seem to find a good one.

there is no harm in copying a photo of a spider and blowing it up or shrinking it to fit the desired area thats what i did with my black suit spiders. the one you make will never be 100% like the original or the picture. it is when you re-cast off an original that there is a problem people save a picture and take it to a cad person or a sculpter all the time and say make a file or a piece that loks identical. thats how 99% of the product on this thread was made.

but if you do use the picture copy the left side and mirror it in photoshop the legs on the side are more lined up than the right side you will get a better spider that way
