Even though the movie doesn't lend itself to a sequel, Universal has set "Starry Eyes" filmmakers Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch to write and helm Mama 2.

Star Jessica Chastain is not expected to return for the sequel, but considering how close-ended the movie is -- why put her character through the same events again?

Lilly and Mama moved on at the end of the first one. Is there a bunch of other mama ghosts floating around just waiting to adopt lost kids?

The first film wasnt even that good.

I'm ok with this. Surely there can't be one crazy mother. Hopefully the design is better this time around.

I liked the musical score and Chastain was great in it.

But yeah, the first one wasn't that scary.
