Yeah Ratchet and Clank and the only other one would be Kane and Lynch that stick out as not GOTY contenders. I'm not completely sold on Kane and Lynch yet. Gears won't win either just because its a re-release on PC with some new content which kind of poses an interesting conundrum for the Orange Box as well.

FIFA 08 will definitely be picking up the King of Sports games crown this year, unless PES upstages it. The fact of the matter is, in pure sales, FIFA and PES will outsell every other Sports game especially when Asia, Europe and Africa are completely Football crazy....As am I.

Never did take Everton seriously. If it's the English Premiership I hardly bother watching any matches aside from those of Man. Utd., Arsenal and Chelsea.

I think it'll be between Assassin's Creed, Bioshock and Mario Galaxy. Bioshock was an incredible game from start to finish. Mario Galaxy will be great I'm sure. Assassin's Creed looks incredible and innovative with the free running stuff. I hope a rather traditional FPS doesn't take it, Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 do seem great, but have they really brought something incredibly new to the table?

No, it's not worth my time. Besides, it's not about whether or not Ratchet & Clank is a good game or not that I have to play it before I pass judgment on it. It's about whether or not it is GOTY material. It doesn't take a f**king GENIUS to figure out that there's no way Ratchet & Clank is even a bloody contender for the GOTY trophy when there are far more critically acclaimed, revolutionary and innovative games in the competition.

This has got to be the greatest year for video games in a long time.

Ratchet and Clank, Metroid Prime 3, Halo 3, The Orange Box, and Bioshock have already been EXTREMLEY well recieved.

Call of Duty 4, Super Mario Galaxy, Gears PC, and Assassin's Creed are in the process of getting very high marks.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Kane and Lynch: Dead Men, Mass Effect, and many... many more are still to come and sure to reap in great reviews.

It's pretty much a documented fact that there are more than enough far more critically acclaimed, revolutionary and innovative games this year than Ratchet & Clank for Insomniac's platformer to have ZERO chances of even making the shortlist for the GOTY award. My own opinion of Ratchet & Clank is very much irrelevant here.
