Well, I also think it will make more than budget, $215-220m.

Overseas? I really doubt it will do well, because:

A) There is POTC2, which will get all overseas numbers.

B) Look at X-Men and BB.

But I am sure it will make more than $400m.

It wont make the $400 mil here in the US. Itll be ok and itll make enough to warrant a sequel.

I know most don't care for critic reviews considering you can spin it either way but:
Superman got 75% Positve out of 199 Reviews at RottenTomatoes, Pirates is at 53% out of 116 Reviews.

I think POTC2 will make $47m opening day and $110m opening weekend.

But as what I read in BOM forum, all theatres were sold out and almost everyone forecasted $115m opening weekend.

I doubt POTC2 will break Spidey's record, I doubt there will be movie, which will break it ever.

But I think POTC2 can really become 2nd single highest grossing day

Well, I dont know about others, but I think if it doesn't, it will be just a little disappointment.

SR had disappointment in opening, but it has pretty good legs.

The fact is, movies are made to make a profit. If your thing cost 300 bazillion samoleons to produce, and you make half that, yeah you're making some fans happy, but you lost a bundle in the process.

Am I the only one who's prepared for a decent but not spectacular weekend for Pirates especially after MI3, Cars, Da Vinci Code, X-3, SR? Seriously is Pirates that much better of a movie than all these?
