People were saying that KK will beat Narnia with $300m domesticly and $800m in worldwide, but it didn't.

I'm not quite expecting SR to do Batman Begins' numbers either. It'll make back it's budget, but I don't think it's going to be a huge blockbuster. It was over-hyped and it underdelivered.

Batman begins will be remembered as a critical sucess not a moderate sucees box office wise. However, you have to remember it came out only 7 years after Batman & Robin, so some people were hesitant. I know a few people who finally saw Batman Begins on DVD and they were damn surprised. And because of Batman Begins' universal praise, there's no doubt in my mind that the sequel will make more than the original.

Superman Returns is a franchise built around an icon that, truth to be told, lakcs the universal appeal of a Batman or a Spider-Man. I think people RESPECT Superman moreso than actually LIKING him, just because he was the first.

Hell, I wasn't a huge fan. I liked the animated series, but I never followed Supes.

That's why I wanted Brainaic or whomever, to bring in a broader audience. Lex is fine, but at in the sequel, they need to get away from him.

The difference between the Joker and Lex Luthor are two things:

Lex Luthor is overused in the movies.

Joker is a more visually appealing character, and I wonder how would Nolan handle him.

But I have big doubts Pirates will make $100m opening, most likely $90-95m, because it is more than 150 mins.

I hope POTC2 will make more than $300m, if SR dont do that.

My ultimate forecast for POTC2 is:

Opening Day: $35m
Opening Weekend: $93m
Domnestic: $339m
Overseas: $466m
Worldwide: $805m

I just thought about... SR has made 32 million. Yesterday 16... So that means it probably will make 50million for the weekend. Which will equal 80 million for 5 days, thats not to bad. Considering Monday and Tuesday alot of people may go to the theaters, it could hit 100 million before next weekend. Thats not to bad considering what people are saying. The Big question is how will it hold up agianst POTC2.
