I just thought about... SR has made 32 million. Yesterday 16... So that means it probably will make 50million for the weekend. Which will equal 80 million for 5 days, thats not to bad. Considering Monday and Tuesday alot of people may go to the theaters, it could hit 100 million before next weekend. Thats not to bad considering what people are saying. The Big question is how will it hold up agianst POTC2.

nah,SR will make at least 65 million for the 5 days. it's estimated totals right now is 48 million. seeing how the numbers aregoing to decrease, 65 mill is the only numbers i see the film mkaing for the total 5 day opening.

btw where the hell is trilogers? ahahaha i guess the film's opening was'nt what he expected.

I'd say $110 mill qualifies as a hell of alot more than a little.

I guess SR is a perfect example of over spending and under delivering. It just re-affirms that throwing money at something doesn't make up for a lack of creativity.

And a horrid director that already royally ****ed up another comic book franchise on the big screen.

yeah true....

look at kill bill.

budget: 55mil

usa:70mil non-usa:40mil worldwide:178mil

and the sequels budget was 30mil....and made 150mil!!

just got back from superman..and it was ok..it really wasnt that big of a deal

I'm not quite expecting SR to do Batman Begins' numbers either. It'll make back it's budget, but I don't think it's going to be a huge blockbuster. It was over-hyped and it underdelivered.

Its biggest problem as i can see it is tis:

If you are right and makes its budget back, byt doesnt do great numbers, and if people are right about a production and marketing budget of about $260 mill.
when it comes to talk about it getting a sequel, some suit at warners is going to sit down and say "how much did we waste on trying to a superman movie before we brought singer on board".

Definatly pirates of the carribean 2 because more people like this than superman.

I wrote this in the other thread, but seriously Cars, MI3, DaVinci Code, X-3 and now SR seem to be underperforming. I really don't think Pirates will be this epic blockbuster.

Depends really on the quality of the movie. If it turns out to be your typical Hollywood-sequel I have a feeling it could sink as fast as these movies usually do.

I guess Trilogors is never coming back to this thread lol. It's a shame. He put so much work into being wrong.

Indeed.

All that money for a stale remake that just gives us what we have already seen.

Would it be hard to give the fans what they want ???

Superman against a genuine powerful foe .... dazzle the public!

SR is seriously underperforming, and POTC2 will dominate it thoroughly next week.

I would love a sequel against Darkside or Brainiac for Superman.

SR was really good...

And I'm not sure how well Pirates will do

It was a gift or else I would have gotten one from you. :o
