My arguments are pretty solid. Especially considering I made the points of what made Aunt May who she was in the original comics, and how her age was a factor to the dynamics.

However, in following with the younger Ultimate trend of casting, Marisa works...but it would've been lovely, in that, if she resembled just a tiny touch of her Ultimate appearance.

So, until I see SOMETHING/ANYTHING that makes me see Aunt May in her, appearance wise, or characterization wise - she'll remain that hot and sexy "Aunt Mayrisa" to me.

Whatever she was in the original comics doesn't disqualify her from being cast in the role in this version. This isn't the original comics, and it never was going to be. That's Marvel Studios, and Feige's decision .

I'm gonna wait to see her performance before I judge whether I think she's a good Aunt May or not. Now that may not end up being what you think Aunt May should be, or true to the original comics the extent you want it to be ,and that's fine.

She's a good actress first and foremost . I've yet to see someone argue she's a bad actress, so at least no one's questioning her talent. No seems to be questioning whether she could pull off what this version of Aunt May could potentially be , so there seems we can assume that at least no one is going as far to say she wouldn't be able to handle the script.

As far as considering her just the "sexy Aunt", that's up to you . You can consider her whatever you want. I really don't care how hot or not fandom considers her. I'm gonna wait to her by her performance and how she pulls off this Aunt May .

It shows how wrong the casting is when you can say that about an Aunt May thread of all things.

the problem isn't the casting choice at all..

the problem is the moment you even suggest age make-up people flip out. you're damned if you do damned if you don't.

As i said before.. she's likely going to be playing May on into her 60s... so you can't really hire someone who's already old for insurance purposes, if they die or get sick you have to recast.

There's nothing to say that, character-wise, this May won't resemble her 616 counterpart. Although I wouldn't be surprised with the portrayal being more in-line with Ultimate May.

If I gave a timeframe for Tom Hollands appearance id have people arguing about the logistics of that too...

Say I say 20 years? Then we go into whether the MCU lasts that long. Why not 30? 40? 110? At least people will have an old aunt may then.

The MCU will reach a point of diminishing returns eventually, it's not going to last forever. I'm assuming that will happen before Tom holland dies, all going well with the reboot, I assume holland or perhaps the actor for miles will be there to the end.

Hence, eventually the MCU will be milked dry.

Thing is we don't know how they will have her look as may. I doubt she be all dolled up and looking super hot. They will likely make her look a little more homey and natural looking. And we don't know if she would have a medical issue or hard times with a job or what not. So many factors are unknown to us right now.

For me I had ones in 40s and 50s myself. But again it's not likely Marisa is going be be all makeup and liking super hot and sex like any if her photo shoots she dies. So they will probably make her look less hit momma and more frumpy, natural, homey as I said before. It's not like as may she going to run around with hair done, makeup and wearing a shirt black skirt/dress.
