MILLAR & MCNIVEN’S NEMESIS #2
Written by MARK MILLAR
Pencils & Cover by STEVE MCNIVEN
The most talked about new series of 2010 rages on! Nemesis’s tour of terror hits Washington D.C. and hits it hard. That doesn’t bode well for the citizens of the nation’s capital or the man in the house on Pennsylvania Ave. Luckily, the Chief of Police has an idea on how to stop the super-villain-- but can you stop a one man hurricane of violence and mayhem? All this, thanks to the creative team that brought you CIVIL WAR- Mark Millar and Steve McNiven.
32 PGS./Mature Content ...$2.99
The Pre-orders for this series is crazy from what Millar has said atleast. I mean Millar comics may not be the hottest discussion in internet forums, but people do buy his comics for sure!
Theres already various movie talks for this flick. Hell Millar said the mysterious director he's been talking to can get Daniel Day-Lewis as the good Cop and Dicaprio as Nemesis himself.![]()
Millar says a lot of stuff. This is the guy who bet money that Jim Caveziel was gonna play Superman in Superman Returns. He is probably just making Daniel Day Lewis up.
For ****'s sake nowhere in his forum has he said about Guy Ritchie or Sam Raimi. That Dakrhorizons site is full of ****. See this? If this is what Bleeding Cool is actually quoting, then i can just lol. Again the Dicaprio and Lewis came from the director's mouth and Millar quoted it. Sheesh is it so bad to talk about possible movie casting? Apparenly it is here.
I'm always skeptic, but i don't see any reason to make big fuzz on his forums at all. It's not like it has millions of viewers all the time. It's a rather small but cozy community there. Ofcourse you got those big sites just quoting and saying whatever they want. ;(
Why would he need to lie on his own site? Why can't you just accept that his creator owned stuff is very wanted because Wanted made 350 million?![]()
Why would he lie and say that Jim Caveziel was without a doubt going to play Superman? I'm not saying his work isn't wanted in Hollywood, but come on, Daniel-Day Lewis? He should have at least said someone more believable. Like Christian Bale, that guy will do anything.
More than anything, he says these things to build hype around his project. And I'll admit, he's very good at doing that. But that doesnt mean I should take everything he says at face-value.
Because he's a hot item right now. Wanted was a way bigger success than the studios thought so people are really interested in getting more of his work to suck at. When/If an adaption or two of his bombs at the box office, those calls won't be coming in much sooner.
Won't happen. Millar is comics' own Michael Bay, feeding an audience and an industry that has a bottomless appetite for ****.
Didn't you say he was "just betting money?" Did he say he had inside scoop? Did he say he was 100% sure? Honestly now.
Also no, not even i'm taking this 100% seriously but theres no harm in talking about it. Except it seems you people just go and bash Millar.![]()

Actually, he did say he had an inside scoop and that he was 100% sure. He only put money on it after someone actually Hollywood (sorry, I forget who now) called him out on it.

I can't find the part where he put money on it, I can look later though.
And I like Millar, he's done some great stuff, like his Superman: Red Son and MK Spider-Man. Ultimates is one of my favorite book ever. Im looking forward to this next project too. I just try to avoid listening to what Millar says to hype his stuff, it's usually just fluff.
You seemed to refute it at every turn whenever we said something about it probably being hot air and hype, said 'why would he lie?' about it, bashed a perfectly reliable website (and then posted something that confirmed half of it as a rebuttal :/). Not really bashing Millar per say, as I said, it's something that people do sometimes to get attention on their work, it's part of the business.
