Mark Millar's Nemesis Project

Nemesis #3 preview right here!

Yeah it's a very predictable (not saying bad at all) continuation. Good guys think they've won, but theres this and 1 more issue to go for the 1st arc to conclude!

Wow..what happened to Mcniven? This looks nothing like his Civil War and Old Man Logan artwork. Then again, maybe its the colorist thats making it look bad.

He's not inking his work or anything in Nemesis.

I think he was pretty sick when working on this issue and causing the delay.

I think Nemesis #3 is being released today :D
I love it so far. Looking forward to reading # 3.

I'm actually interested in this, but I'm going to wait for the whole series to finished and sold in volumes, never really got into buying singular issues, i like my money lol

Read that #3 preview, **** out my own liver.

My own fault for not expecting it.

You and me need to go see the movie on premiere night, baby! :)

Anyhow kinda mixed feelings on Nemesis #3 but nothing that i was surprised about. I dig Millar doing evil badguys, but sometimes i personally feel these villains become just too evil and i lose any reason to cheer for them, this happened to me with Wanted, and it's almost happening with Nemesis too. Tho i kinda love it at the same time, because you really except this kinda sadism and psychological torturing from an "evil Batman". I seriously wonder how will this conclude.

Yeah, I was really enjoying this series until the whole
I'm going to mess with your family by making your daughter pregnant with your son's seed deal.
That whole deal made me a little sick. Look, I know that was the desired effect but that made me not care for this character at all, in fact it has made me think about not even checking out the final act. I am down with all the killing and such, but what Nemesis did in this isssue is something even the Joker hasnt been twisted enough to do. Is anyone with me on this?

Yeah that scene was a moment where the fans will hate this comic or not, just like with Big Daddy's secret reveal.

Joker would be twisted enough to do something like this. You got the whole rape debate in The Killing Joke, and in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, Joker tried to make Tim Drake his son.

I see what you mean, but I was thinking more of DC not allowing the Joker to do what Nemesis did because it is just another level of wrong. Murder, rape, brain-washing, these are all things that happen in the real world and are sick, but what Millar had Nemesis do was just for shock and awe and it kinda took me out of the story (not to mention how he achieved the task in such a short time). I guess I cant put what I'm trying to say in words.

The "rape debate" is like the flat-earth debate or the creation-science debate, a bunch of people arguing some **** that there's no evidence for and no reason to believe.

Infinite Crisis shows why Joker ain't ever gonna rape anybody, and Brantern's reaction to Nemesis shows why Joker ain't ever gonna do that. It's not about being sick or crazy enough to do it, it's about Joker being a performer. Those are hack moves, and if he did 'em he wouldn't be the Joker anymore, he'd be Doctor ****ing Light, or Mark Millar's ripoff of the Joker, and people would go from being horrified by his terrible insane genius madness to just being like whoa, **** this guy, also, kill this guy.

Brian Azzarello's Joker raped, and then there is the debate on the Killing Joke. Really tho Garth Ennis and Mark Millar both do all kinds of over the top nasty things, but not many find them either shocking or funny.

I didn't have a problem with the[BLACKOUT] incest angle[/BLACKOUT]. It was pretty friggin diabolical if you ask me. The one thing I found far fetched was
Nemesis rigging the daughters womb to collapse if they tried an abortion. That's pretty out there and the doctor just explained it pretty casually......

Tony Scott discusses Nemesis

"'Nemesis' is great," Scott told MTV News. "It's something I've never done before. I love touching new worlds, touching new things, and that's what excites me. 'Nemesis' is a fresh genre for me."

Scott said that he isn't sure exactly what it was that drew him to "Nemesis," except to say that it was an instinctual feeling — something he tends to rely on quite often in his movie selections.

"The comic sat on my desk for about a week and I kept looking at it and looking at it," he said. "I don't know what [exactly made me pick it up]. What speaks to me? Why make the movie? What speaks to you is your heart and your mind. It's spontaneity. Once you start analyzing why you're doing something, you're in trouble. I've had a love affair with every movie I've done — 16 now — and I'm lucky, because I've always been able to follow my heart."

But it'll take some time before Scott fully immerses himself in Nemesis, as he provided a status update on the project: "I'm just beginning now. We're right at the beginning."

He seems excited about the project. :)

How the f*** is Millar getting these properties launched into movies so damn easily? Meanwhile, Runaways and Y The Last Man will prolly never get made.

When the **** does part 4 come out.

Well.. Issue 4 has been out for some time now.. What did you all think ???

To be honest, I couldn't even remember how it ended......I had to check it's Wiki page. So what does that say? Honestly, I'm kind of over Millar as a writer. I thought the ending lacked subsistence and the incest/rigged womb angle was really far-fetched. If they do make it into a movie, I'm skipping it. Tony Scott is directing it and I'm a huge fan of his, but I'll still avoid it.

The last page twist is possibly incredibly stupid and/or questionable plot hole, but the twist with Nemesis' character was truly beatiful imo, the way he sums up himself is one of my favourite panels and villain moments out there.

I was a huge fan of the series until issue #4. At first, I didn't like the ending/twists at all, but having read the issue a few more times, it has grown on me. It opens up a whole new angle and pretty much gives Millar free reign on which way he wants to take the story.
