I'm pretty sure he was in martian form--head was completely bald, and if you notice his facial structure looked overly pronounced and chiseled...

he just looked like a normal bald guy with glowing eyes- nothing like the comic. He definitely was not green. Plus the shadow was there meaning it was hard to see anything- he looked humanoid from what i saw

His being bald in that first glimpse we had has more to do with casting than it does his form.

how so? You couldnt see that he was human. The only thing you could tell was that he was bald which he is in Martian form but not apparently as J'onn going by the pic above

You also couldn't see any green skin, which would be the leading sign that he wasn't in human form. No, you saw the head of who was likely a different actor than the one now cast in the role, and, naturally, that guy's hair (or lack thereof) was different than the "official" MM.
