I AM A BLOKE!

Damn. So, in gloating over Darth and jone's predicament, I unintentionally owned myself. :csad:

Christ, I'm getting out of this thread before things get worse.

I think it's the feminine sounding name, and the cute little stars you have around your quote.

Hmm I wonder if it is the stars??

Never thought of that.

gildea = "Paul Gildea"

You should have selected Paul Mother ****ing Gildea as your name so to avoid confusion.

Paul O'Brien is a great resource if you like looking at these numbers.

To those who want to whoop and holler, I would say:

1)When you score a touchdown, act like you've been there before, and

2)All things are cyclical.

Well it's a damn long cycle cause Marvel has owned DC for quite some time.

Marvel is in the positing to run a really simple revenge story and simple works. Simple sells.

it will all even out someday. marvel's sucess will inspire DC to get better again, then Marvel will make a comeback, bringing on another DC push and so on. its like unraveling an enourmous sweater that someone keeps knitting and knitting and knitting and knitting ahahand knitting

^ It won't even out because all things are not equal or even. I don't think DC has enough characters worthy. Hell even their top character Superman in 6 films can't find another villain worthy except Lex and his real estate fraud schemes.

I do think DC has a problem with their image when it comes to appealing to the general individual.

DC should be doing Green Lantern, Lobo, Sandman, Flash, etc...Stop with this Wonder Woman garbage.

Ah, this is the Marvel comics forum. Let's keep the discussion limited to Marvel Comics. Movies are a whole nother territory and there are other forces at work there besides writer creativity.

With the whole DC thing, I'm agreeing. 52 WAS really good...then it got to the end, and for whatever reason, the revalations of that, alongside OYL, and this odd jump to Silver Age decidingly destroyed what awesomness DC was putting out before. Almost as if it were intentional.

I mean...the severely overlapping Multiverse again?

Why weren't they able to build on this momentum?

Because at the end of IC, everything went back to normal almost. While with CW, everything changed and it just about left us on a cliff hanger.

:whatever: It's a comparison or vs thread of sorts...I'll post what I want within the topic.

OK, first off the whole fan boy bickering who's better Marvel or DC pissing match is utterly pointless. Both companies have quality characters. Both do things right, both do things extremely wrong.

AD I can tell your a Marvel Zombie, thats cool I use to be one. However:

Um...Yeah that's just an ignorant thing to say. Sorry. This is coming from YOUR POV. A Marvel Zombie POV might I add. DC has plenty of amazing characters.

And why are you bringing films into this discussion? If you want to show that aspect then what about the animated universe? I'll take any show from the DCAU over Marvel's Animated movies any day.

Basically I like good comics, like Darth said, it doesn't matter what company.

Oh and glidea I totally thought you were a girl this whole time....:o:o:o

Its basically said that Marvel advertises itself more, and does more underhaded tricks to get people to buy their comics now.
