So TASM2 was a set up for The Sinister Six, and the solution was to reboot, recast, and do The Sinister Six straight off the bat? Er, okay.

I haven't been enthusiastic about another Spider-Man reboot, and if this is where it's going, I guess I'll continue to not care.

I was never interested in the "Sinister Six"
Sony tried to do it with TASM2 and it failed. why can't they focus on the Symbiote storyline? why can't they dedicate a trilogy to Norman; build him up to being the big bad of the third movie?

That was their original idea, though. (until Arad and Tolmach decided to change everything and made Webb into a 'yes man').

Deadline and THR say he's circling the project and is only meeting for it at the moment.

I'm far more inclined to believe them over anyone saying its a done deal.

Well they've already done Spidey vs. the symbiote, and they've already done Spidey vs. Norman, but they haven't done Spidey vs. The Sinister Six, so I don't see how this is somehow a retread compared to those.

I'm fine if they want to do Sinister Six, but I hope they don't delve too deep into it in the first movie. Teases and easter eggs are fine, but I don't want any more convoluted mess (I thought we learnt that from TASM2) of setting them up.

If they get well known actors and the trailers look good people will see it plus if this Spiderman movie is good it will make people want to see it and also it's a different Sinister Six to the Marc Webb movies and I think Spider-Man will appear in it but he won't be the main focus

If Dylan is indeed the next Spidey, it will be thanks to his performance in maze runner. Was really good in it. Playing the lead in two franchises would be something he may never have thought of...that is if he is the next

From a standpoint of seeing him lead a franchise that made money, sure. But I don't think we should discount Teen Wolf, considering it got him enough attention for him to get that role in Maze Runner and probably stands as a much better point of reference for what his Peter would be like, should he take the role.

Yeah, and they ROYALLY ****ed that up.

Just because it's been done before, badly, doesn't mean don't do it again.

If it hasn't been done the right way yet, then it should be done again until it has.

I'm not crazy about the Doctor Strange rumor, feels like Spider-Man out of his element. But whatever his intro is will have to do. The real deal is the solo movie.

As long as Spider-Man is starring in the film I don't care if the villains are the Sinister Six. If Marvel/Sony make a solo SS movie I'm just as uninterested it as I was when Sony alone were planning to make it. It's just not an interesting idea to me. If anyone else is interested fine but I am not.
