There's no exception, if there's no Spidey in the Super Bowl spot I'm going to be disappointed.
 
The thing is we as fans dont really know what is going on behind the scenes with marvel studios and the sony folks. Sony would be really dumb and foolish not to let marvel promote the character at all pre release of civil war. That totally goes against the whole reason of making deal with marvel and get the marvel studios world and branding attached to this new spidey.

As for superbowl we are a few days out and still we dont know for sure how many and what films do indeed have a spot in the big game. Now i would love if civil war is. But really when you look at it marvel doesnt need the bowl to promote itself. So they could skip it cause i am sure we are going to see 2nd full trailer out by the next few weeks as is. But if we do get civil war i hope for new footage and of course spidey.

But again if they dont do a spot or do and spidey isnt there. I still say then reveal it next week. Like i brought up it is the 9th of feb next tues. That does mark 1 yr for deal going public. Really when you look at past films like this in general. We get reveal of movie 2 yrs out, actors/writers/director locked in with a yrs or at lest 6 to 8 months prior to filming. Then when we hit about a yr prior to film out we are near filming stage or in filming stage and other info come out.

So it does make sense for sony and marvel to drop some more details on the solo then. Ie just officially reveal the title of the film, what villain they are going with(Actor for said villain if they had some one locked in if not just blurb about said villain) and of course costume reveal. As looking back at past mcu/past spidey films we are in the point of time for solo film costume reveal to happen.

We ultimately will have to have things come out. No way we wont have any major details or what not before filming starts in june. As by the end of this month going into april/may we will be seeing rumors, offers, testing and locking in of cast. Plus sets/props/ costumes will be needed to be locked in and ready to go and made and all that. Let alone training and all the other pre production end things. So time is near now.

Does it matter?
He was/is spot on on the Suicide Squad news and trailer descriptions, literally mostly on DC stuff.
But he has rarely been right on Marvel stuff. At least I have never seen him been right on anything Marvel.
Has he ever got anything Marvel related right?

P.S: No, I'm not counting stuff like "Marisa Tomei has shot secretly scenes for Captain America: Civil War", because ... yeah, being cast that early it's just logical for her to be in Civil War.
 
Ya mayibe probably just trolling us marvel fans. As alot of his marvel let alone Sm 17 news been way off.
 
According to ComicsAlliance, Civil War will have a pre-game spot, like TWS had.

If I had to guess, they'll release a full trailer afterwards, because that's what they did after TWS.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he kept on vaguely teasing something, like he's been doing so far, but without actually saying anything concrete, only for Super Bowl to come, and a Civil War trailer (+ a Spidey appearance) with it, and then he'll go: "you see that? I knew it all along"

Well since we don't have a lot of Spidey news we might as well talk about something, does anyone have any other favorite Superhero-Hero besides Spider-Man?
 
be nice but i would trust the news coming for a more movie news related site then a comics news and information site. plus reading the article it didnt say civil war is having a spot. This is for the coke commerical that featuring marvel characters in some form. So i wouldnt say its a full on civil war spot at the moment.

Yeah, it does seem like a no-brainer. Hopefully Marvel and Sony have worked out the kinks regarding the marketing, and we'll get our first look at Spidey too.

Well, it does say: "But, now some good news: there will be a new Captain America: Civil War trailer during the Super Bowl, or perhaps more specifically before the Super Bowl. Make sure you’ve got your butt in front of the TV right before kickoff to get your first look at the new footage."

Actually at the end of the article it says that it will have a Super Bowl spot.
 
I got a feeling that if there were a right time to show the new Spidey alongside his brethren, it'd be when all of America is watching.

A 2-second shot of Spidey alongside Iron Man and/or Captain America would be ... nice!
 
I think i won't be able to even see it on TV actually so pretty much i will be following here in the Forum what happens (if i am even here)
