Reed's critical strike -boost made him very valuable. But I agree that Sue was easily best one of FF.

Sue Storm was very underrated in the game, mainly bc she flat out sucked in the beginning. She didnt start to become useful for me until around Act 3/4. By then she was leveled up quite a bit and was very powerful. Her ability to become invisible and her force field were about 2 of the best defensive powers in the game. Enemies couldnt touch her and they also couldnt attack from a distance as energy attacks were repelled. Plus she had TK which allowed for to throw them around and not worry about taking damage

Sue Richards, Elektra, Reed Richards, and Doctor Strange?
Sue and Reed are core members of the MU. You cant do a widespread game like MU and not have them in it. Besides they were needed for a full FF team.

No arguments on Elektra bc like Blade, she sucked. In fact she was the worst character in the game and storywise, she didnt add anything either.

Dr. Strange was far from forced. The first half of the 2nd Act revolved around him. The game involved tackling many of Marvel's heavy hitters and he happens to be one of the most powerful heroes in the MU. He was included as a very valuable ally which they needed

3 movies and a TV series and he is not as popular as Thor, Cap or Gambit? The novice fan knows more about Blade than they do Thor, Cap or Gambit
And I bet those same fans which know him from the media have no idea he's even a comic book character. I didnt for the longest time and Im a big reader of Marvel books.

what about them?

They were both useless.

Elektra was slightly more usable than Blade but other than that...no.

She had quick moves and could hold her own pretty well...actually managed to solo with her.

Blade, however, had only one usable costume, and a FEW of his abilities were any good (seriously...). He felt forcibly placed (just as Elektra did).

I totally agree with you on Sue, she was a major member on my team and I had her in my group A LOT!
I actually think the enitire 4 was good, I didn't really get into Reed until like the fourth playthrough, but he was pretty good too.
But for me, Sue was a big winner.
My favorite MUA team- Cap, Sue, Thor, and Silver Surfer- unstoppable!

I hate seeing the whole "Blade is useless so he should be excluded in the game" bit as I've noticed that a different person learns to play/master a different character. Blade was definitely my best character and I had a blast playing with him than with any other character.

Almost any character could have been beefed up and made to be a badass in MUA1, there were really only a few that had weaknesses that the enemy could exploit, and the game was never really a challenge to begin with, IMO
The only character I felt was reall lacking was Elektra, might have been my inability to build her correctly, because I know some other players loved her, but for me she just never really got off the ground

I have admit that I used Cheat Codes the 3rd time I played the game I gave my team god like powers but even with that I found that Dr.Strange, Reed, and Sue Richards were not very fun to use.

As for Dr. Strange, yes part of the game centered around him and his home was one of the bases, but he could be used as a non-playable character. He sucked when it came to big battles.

The Surfer IMO was the best character.

Does anyone know since the game is based on the Civil War if you pick on group of heroes will another group of heroes oppose you while you go throught the game e.g. If I pick Cap, Blade, Thor, and Iron Man will I have to fight Spider Man, Venom, Nick Furry, and Ghost Rider?

Wow. I guess it really is all relative. Mr. Fantastic was a beast when I played him thanks to those huge fists punching through everything and that stomp he had, as was Invisible Woman with her shield and telekinesis. Dr. Strange was almost...overpowered with those box and pixie moves and I could easily beat most bosses with just him.

Blade and Elektra were still useless for me though.:oldrazz:

yeah, Blade was one of the few characters whose moves were sort of useless to me. His boosts made him really capable at melee which is always nice to combine or end with special moves, but on their own, they were lacking

Silver Surfer had to be the most strongest and best character.
Has anybody played with the orignal four through the whole Game?
Spidey Thor Cap Logan.

All Blade and Elektra could do really was look cool. They're martial artists, after all. Not big deal super powered characters. When every character in the game is good at hand to hand there's not much left for them to do.

I have to agree about SS, he was a powerhouse and his heal was lightyears better than anyone else's

Id agree on that. They really should have put in Psylocke instead of Elektra. She is a female trained fighter who would have been more versatile than her

Eh, whatever. All I know is when I played with him, he was my best and favorite to play with. Him and Ghost Rider. It was damn near impossible for me to get defeated with Blade. Many other characters people have mentioned as their best people I couldn't stand to play with. So once again, I wouldn't say any character was useless. It's the same like in a fighting game. There are characters who are you best and some you just can't seem to get at all, along comes someone who plays extremely with with that character and doesn't understand how you play with your character.

it's all so subjective, it;s not like any of the characters had such a huge strike against them, it all comes down to who you like and how you build them. I doubt anyone is going to play a hero they hate just becuase they think they're better than someone they;ve loved for years, just like no one's going to pass up their favorite hero becuase they dont' like their moves or something

I've always felt that way too. Sure they have sais and guns. But when it comes down to ranged attackes, I want powers!:o

Maybe the difference here is, I played on PC. I read the game was a little different on Xbox, PS2, and Wii.

On the PC Reed, Sue, and Dr. Strange were week. Of course if you used cheat codes or worked with them most of the game they became a little stronger.

But does anyone know if you pick on group of heroes will you have to fight another group of good guys or are you facing supervillians?

Deadpool better return. He was the BEST character in the first one.

Someone might have mentioned this but it would be awesome if there was a DC vs. Marvel version of this. They sometimes get together on Comics, why not get together on a game?

I would love to see Spiderman vs. Batman or Superman vs. Thor.

no he hasn't been confirmed yet, but I'd think he'd return, and hopefully Cable will be playable as well

Give me some psychics, damnit! Cable, Phoenix, and Psylocke! That's really all I ask of this game.

I want a few more X-Men....good X-Men. Gimme Beast or Juggernaut or Gambit.

Whoa, Bishop?! I'd be so damn glad if he was playable! Him and Cyke were my best in XML2. :word:
