Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion (360, PS3, Wii, DS)

Activision's marketing is pretty crappy for WOS...so I expect M:UA 2 to be just as bad (if not worse).

The game comes out in 20 days, we haven't gotten much of ANY information that's not rehash or a spoiler for the plot.

Activsion's marketing plan has been confirmed by the moderators of WOS's website to be geared towards casual and NOT hardcore. For hardcore is a very small demographic in the video game world (which is true). Activision really doesn't care if hardcore players don't buy their game...they want it to sell to the kiddies and people who just happen to stumble upon it.

Since they probably won't change this any time soon, M:UA 2 will suffer the same fate as WOS as far as marketing goes. Expect a few videos that spoil a lot of the story, don't talk about the important stuff, and blab on and on about Fusion.

Oh, and you have Vicarious Visions...which doesn't help things at all. =/
You mean 20 weeks? :p

I'd say there's plenty of time to boost up the promotion. Usually, they don't start the mass media frenzy kind of deal until around 3 weeks away.

Not that I've had any problems with the camera angeles in past Marvel games. I like the new "eye level" angele...it puts you closer to see the character detail. Sometimes when the area isn't too hectic I like to get close up on the heroes.

Nice find.:woot:

Im actually really looking forward to this one. It looks as if this one is gonna make some needed improvements, IE the visuals.

I'm looking forward to see the new story. MUA's was a little hollow.
I hope its not as expansive as MUA. I felt that game tried to be bigger than it should have been and lost focus

I agree. I don't need to travel to a dozen different magical worlds for seemingly no reason. I'd reather see them focus on a few more detailed, longer levels (would it kill them to do a cityscape) and I don't know about you, but I sort of prefer fighting enemies like soldiers and robots and other heroes and villains of course. The trolls and orcs and demons and crap didn't seem authentic, it just felt like you were in a video game, instead of taking control of the heroes as they carried on with their comic adventures.

ANyway, that new camera angle has me so stoked, the camera was a big deal for me in the first MUA it made the whole game feel like a melee clusterf**k

Yeah but those orcs and demons are who guys like Thor and Ghost Rider fight so as a fan of them characters it worked for me. :oldrazz:

I've actually gotten pretty tired of robots in video games in general but I'm sure it will fit here.

I like what they TRIED to do with MUA but every one of those chapters could have been a game of their own.

Yeah, I hear what you're saying about Thor and all, I just wished they would have done fewer things better than more things half-assed, you know what I'm saying

I know. They tried to put too much into one game. They got overly ambitious so there wasn't one set atmosphere. It was all over the place. I mean there's a reason you don't see Ghost Rider in X-men or Spider-man hanging out in Asgard. Some things just...don't work.

Agreed on both counts guys

so far VV has made a few really great and much needed changes, so I have faith that this sequel will be amazing, if not, I think they're going to eaten alive by the fans

Yea the cinematics are overwhelmingly good, especially when Doom did his thing in MUA 1 with all the fallen heroes.

It says on Wikipedia that Shadowcat and Rogue ( I think) were in that scene. I only remember Cyke, Colossus and the Prof's wheelchair, right?

really?
See, this is one of those times that there needs to be a special tye of italics or underlining for posting and texting with sarcasm

I remember Gambit, Hulk, Cyclops, Colossus, and there were others but they aren't coming to mind right now so Shadowcat and Rogue may very well be those people. Though Psylock would make sense since she was a boss.

I wish Marvel would make a CGI movie. The graphics in MUA are more than good enough. We've had Square-Enix making Advent Children, Capcom is going to release Resident Evil: Degeneration, Marvel should make a CGI movie as well.

Agreed .

^ That'd be cool. I'm still waiting for the Hulk vs movies to come out.

I don't remember seeing Rogue or Kitty in that cinematic.
