I went to my Gamestop 2 weeks ago to pick up Lego Batman and while I was paying I saw on there display case they had Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 for the X-Box. They had it for 59.99 used an thought wow I havent seen a copy of the game ever before as Id only played the arcade game. Well I went home an for the rest of the day all I could think of was the game. So at 10:00am the next day as soon as my gamestop opened I walked in and bought it. It was cool when the cashier looked at me with a face like "your F'n awesome". As soon as i got into my car an pulled it outta the bag an took a look I knew for that moment alone that I was an offcial boneafied bada$$..

EA was making a new 3D Marvel-only fighting game, but it got canned because it would have sucked, just like every Marvel fighting game made without Capcom's involvement.

Oh, and another thing-- if MVC2 is getting a re-release on XBL and PSN, I REALLY hope they have a custom sound track option. As much as I love MVC2, the soundtrack absolutely sucked! I pretty much play MVC2: Accurate Mix exclusively for my MVC2 needs just because the music is so superior.

MVC2: Accurate Mix is a fan-hacked version of MVC2 that has a different song selection, which is more "accurate" to the game's various stages. The songs are taken mostly from various obscure video game titles and occasionally movies, and they sound 100x better than the official sound track. It's music that you actually feel like kicking ass to.

I played that version a few months ago and didnt like it. I preferred the original soundtrack, I guess mainly for nostalgic reasons as thats what Ive come to expect from that game. It really wasnt THAT bad at least not as bad as people tend to complain it was

Damn right it's going to happen. MvC2 was too much of a success not to get another one. You would be a marketing idiot if you thought that this instant classic game didnt deserve a sequel. The game was too awesome not to have one.
