He has the right to *****. Both sides really do have valid arguments in this debate. Lots of people who have hobbies complain about stupid stuff the industry they support does like with movies, music, comics, etc.

Yeah, I don't have to buy DLC that should be free. I don't have to buy Bambi 2. I don't have to buy Lady Gaga and Justin Beiber albums. I don't have to buy the new edition of Dungeons and Dragons. And yeah, I don't have to buy the five bajillion Deadpool comic books. But it doesn't mean I shouldn't complain about it when Warner Bros., Marvel Comics, Electronic Arts, or whoever does something stupid.

DLC is added for one reason and one reason alone. So the company can milk more money off the game.

Neither Bioware game aside from the day 1 DLC has really followed the Assassin's Creed or Capcom model of actually locking content on the disc.

Disgruntled fired employee who provided credentials and evidence (his bioware / dragon age II development team badge, various 'script' pages) who got 95% of the main storyline correct three weeks before release, and mentioned how they took out a huge chunck of the finished game to split into two to four DLC packs.

Believe me, don't, I couldn't care less.

If you don't like the DLC don't get it. The Shadow Mode DLC was free.

If you don't want to pay for the alternative costumes or additional characters, then don't. Big deal.

Personally I don't mind DLC. WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2011 had a deal where if you paid $10 you could get all the DLC ever made for the game. I think that's a pretty good deal.

If the DLC prospect bothers you guys that much you can do a couple things. Wait until a GOTY edition where extras might be included or buy the special premiere edition that comes with the DLC codes.

There were 3 waves of costume packs for Street Fighter 4. Of the 3 I got one costume set, not even a complete pack, because it was offered for free over a week. Making Zangief and Seth into robots doesn't change their match data, so I can safely abstain.

I get why people feel strongly against disc locked content; it's shady. But if you don't want DLC altogether, don't buy it. Capcom profits from costume packs because people keep buying them. Don't want them to put out more costumes? Don't buy them. If as many people as I've seen get mad over this stopped dropping $5 a pop, Capcom would stop it overnight. No demand, no supply.

That they keep making them says more about the customers than it does the business.

My take on the DLC is this, buy it if you want, ignore it if you don't. I play MW2 all the time, but I haven't bought the new maps simply because I don't want to. I don't want the new MvC costumes so I'm not gonna buy em. I DO want the new characters so I'll buy them. Whining about DLC seems somewhat pointless. Buy if you want it, ignore it if you don't.

Against the "developers" and what not, I have no idea.

Against the top personalities from MvC2 and fighting games in general (Just Wong, etc etc), I can see the potential.

You guys are so angered, it pleases me. DLC can be done right, the way the Rock Band games did it was great.

However, games now a days are coming out with less and less and less release content and want more and more money for DLC that's either already disk locked or literally taken out of the game to generate more money.

Games are already expensive as **** to pick up, and it's a pain in the ass when I have to pay an additional 30$ just to get the full story.

But seriously, how mad you guys are? Hilarious.

You realize that the next three major DLC packs they're going to release for the game are ALREADY DONE and WERE DONE IN TIME TO BE SHIPPED ON RELEASE, yes?

And that EA took them out on purpose to make more money off the game.

You'll just further the machine that is DLC. For example, Dragon Age II has like 60% of it's secondary storyline tied behind DLC locks. As in, all you get in that game is the bare minimum of a main story, and all side quests or non-main story missions are DLC.

That's why you don't support **** like DLC. Also, it's like 10$ just for some costumes. Really?

He received an infraction for it. We're talking about his posts here in this thread regarding DLC and so far there hasn't been any trolling in regards to it. He has a right to his opinion and can express it as long as it isn't insulting others and isn't derailing this thread.

Yeah, you guys do bring up a valid point. If you don't like the concept of DLC, don't buy it. Ignore it. Plain and simple. But SouLeSS also has the right to express his opinion on how much ******** it is when companies like EA and Capcom create DLC to come out on the day the game comes out or takes things that were meant to be a part of the game out of it so they could sell it as DLC. And you guys have the right to debate him about it. Half the comments that SouLeSS said that you brought up aren't him trolling and the other half are those in response to people telling him that he should shut up. And he's right, if you're going to get in such a fit over his posts that are focused on such a trivial matter, just put him on ignore.

I'll do something to him if he insults other posters or derails the thread (which so far hasn't happened). But he hasn't, he's just expressing an opinion that you don't agree on.
