I think Amy Adams is probably, aside from maybe considered Selma Blair, the only really young actress who could have done really well playing Jean in 1999-2001.

I love Ethan Hawke, even so I tend to associate him a bit more with playing more cynical/worldly characters but he was also really strongly earnest in some early roles like Dead Poets Society and White Fang and aspects of other characters later, with and from both sides he could do really well as Peter/Spider-Man.

Also wouldn't have thought of Ryder but they could also do really well in those roles, Ryder really fitting for Betty when you think about it, pretty in a somewhat sullen/surly way, at least from dealing with Jameson, but still also with some sweetness.

Also not a casting I would think of but really good. Or he could have been good then as Jameson.
