Marvel's Runaways coming to Hulu

That was kinda one of the points of Runaways comic. It bucked the trend by having more female characters than male characters. That didn't stop it from being a good read.

Would you be disappointed if the ratio were the other way round, with only 2 girls in the cast, and the rest male?

I'm more disappointed that the girls have cooler/awesome powers than the guys. One of them is an alien, another is a witch.

As for the guys, none of them have super powers.

Chase is just a skilled pilot and mechanic.

Alex is just smart, but does not have any super power.

I count at least 12 shows by 2018 and as long as the quality stays good I hope it keeps going. I have watched every one and fully enjoy each one.

I wonder if they will be switching out the Fistigons for Iron Man gauntlets. It's an easy way to connect the show to the cinematic MCU. And it's not like Tony hasn't left a trail of spare parts along the way.

Do we know for a fact that The Runaways and Cloack and Dagger will definitely be set within the MCU yet?

There are a lot of shows being made/planned, but out of the ones I haven't seen, Runaways is the one I'm most interested in.

With TV in general, there's more shows that could be good than I have time to watch, so the standard I go by is higher than "could be good". In the same way, as more of these shows come out, I just have to reevaluate what it takes to get me to watch one of them. Cloak & Dagger and Black Lightning are pretty much off my radar.

It would be cool if they built The Pride up a bit to be honest. I wish we saw them more throughout the marvel u. Not just fighting the runaways but being a legitimate threat to other characters at least in the comics

I love The Runaways. It is one of my favorite comic series. And I glad James Marsters is involved, he's one of my favorite genre actors.

I think most of the actors they cast are too old.

They've probably cast them that way to be over 18 so that they can get round any labour laws limiting how long the actors can work.

It wasn't supposed to be seen by the public. These are network upfronts.

It does look great though. Marvel is really killing it with the tv side (and the movie side too).

That's because it was meant for upfront eyes only and not for the general public. They watch a ton of trailers and if everything was long, the presentation would drag. So they put in some money shots along with the general idea of the show for ad sales purposes.
