Zaeed wasn't a *****e, he just was what he was. Jack was totally like chick Wolverine, angry and vengeful because she'd been twisted that way but with empathy and a chance at redemption. Zaeed was just unapologetically one way. He killed people, had no qualms about it but didn't mix words. I think it was cool to have at least one character who is amoral but so completely comfortable with himself and aware of who he is.

Yea, Zaeed was awesome. Jack was an annoying emo.

You're right about Zaeed. Although, personally, I felt that total commitment to amorality made him flat and boring compared to the richness of all the other characters' conflicting personality traits. I couldn't stand him. I actually tried to consciously engineer just his death in the final mission one play-through.

I think I'm the only one who liked the entire ME2 team.

:awesome:
I liked all but Tali. Legion came way too late in the game for me to care. Plus he was a machine. Not a whole lot of personality there

I thought he had one of the best voice actors in the game and early on, was one of the most effective squadmate to have around. I wish more was done with him in the story but considering he was DLC, I can understand why there wasnt

If you do his loyalty mission after the suicide mission, the option to kill him comes up I believe at the end (assuming you don't kill Vido).

I thought he was thoroughly entertaining. Had an awesome voice actor. The guy is genuinely in love with an assault rifle, which is bizarrely awesome. And his various anecdotes when you go visit him in his room on the Normany were pretty funny.

Yeah, but my dude was too noble to kill him in cold blood on the ass-end of some jungle planet. The universe had to exercise its own justice by having Zaeed sacrifice his life to buy the "good" characters' safety. And in this scenario, the universe was me and a bunch of online guides and FAQs that let me plan it out.

I felt a little bit like a serial killer, to be honest, but I knew my cause was just and I'll never let anyone tell me otherwise! :cmad:

I've had him sacrifice his life both by being the second fire team leader, and getting the crew back to the Normandy.

You are a cruel and merciless God, Corp.

Ha.

I think I worked it so that he was the guy who gets gut-shot as you're running through that door Tali's trying to close or something like that. I don't remember exactly where it was, but it was damned satisfying.

Tali closes the door on the first fire team. The Gut Shot happens during the second fire team. But I think my "favorite" death is seeing people get dragged away by the swarm.

You DISLIKED Tali!?

:(
yeah she got annoying between ME1 and 2. I wasnt a fan of her new attitude and her disdain towards Legion was on the same level as Ashley's for non-humans. She was the only person to die in my suicide mission and I honestly didnt care

Heh, that happened on one of my other play-throughs. I had Miranda as my only biotic, and she was like, "Can't... hold it...!!" and I laughed and laughed at her weakness because, fine as she was, she was kind of a b****. I think it was either Jacob or Tali who got dragged away.

Well I can't comment on the whole not liking her attitude, different strokes and all (I personally loved her more mature/confident self in ME2) - Tali's distrust for Legion is built on much more concrete ground than Ashley's. The Quarians have centuries of hatred built up for the Geth that Tali is inheriting and on her pilgrimage what does she encounter? Geth trying to destroy all organic life simply confirming every belief she was ever taught. That she has a natural distrust for the Geth is to be expected. Ashley's never even met an alien before and thinks they can't be trusted simply because they're not human. Even after ME1, Ashley still doesn't "like" aliens - and meanwhile PRESSLEY of all people comes around.

Tali afterall doesn't complain about Legion being on the team or tell Shepard where and where not to let him roam. Not to mention that Tali's willing to extend a hand of friendship towards Legion if you get the Paragon convince off which amounts to telling them both to cool down and stop fighting each other as opposed to Ash who you have to pull the God card on (which is my least favorite ME1 moment btw). When siding against Tali she doesn't shoot Legion, even though he's sending classified data back to the Geth that could spark a war which is more than I can say for poor Wrex on my first playthrough.

People who didn't like Tali = bad people. This is a real equation.

Tali's hips are insanely huge compared to the rest of her.

Just sayin'.

Yea Tali has a genuine reason to hate Geth. But Legion was cool, the revelation that there are Geth that are against the Reapers was interesting. I'm thinking they'll play a part in 3.

They kind of set up Admiral Xen (Claudia Black's Quarian) up as a future baddie following Tali's quest. I'm thinking she's going to end up hacking the Geth and its up to Shepard to stop her.

The GI article made it seem like that's definitely going to be an issue. I imagine gathering forces to fight the Reapers is gonna involve settling a lot of the political disputes that have been brewing for the past two games. The situation with the geth and the quarians will probably involve Xen, that other admiral who wanted to attack the geth to reclaim the quarian homeworld, Tali, Legion, and I bet some new figures who'll be introduced in the third game.

Yea, I imagine even your dialogue options in ME2 might play a part. On Tali's mission I told all the Admirals not to go to war with the Geth, thinking that we'll need everyone united when the Reapers come etc.

and I have a hard time even feeling sorry for Tali or the Quarians considering they created the Geth , enslaved them and attempted to exterminate them. I have little sympathy for her and her people. They are the ones that played a big role in the mess that ended up affecting the entire galaxy later on. I definetly understand why Tali distrusts Legion, but it doesnt make her anymore likeable to me

Keep in mind when they created the Geth, the Geth were not sentient and when they put them to work, the Geth were still not sentient. The Geth became sentient as an unexpected side effect of their networking process. It would be like me claiming that you've enslaved your computer so that you can use the internet. Its when as when Legion put it, the Geth "woke up" that they freaked out and tried to force them to shut down.

Now I don't think what the Quarians did was necessarily the right response but I could understand the panic in realizing that all of your robots had essentially gained a will of their own without you ever knowing and the subsequent attempt to turn them off.

Additionally, Tali is not responsible for those actions and giving her the blame for her ancestor's actions seems a bit faulty to me. It would be like blaming Garrus for the Turians using the Genophage. She has however inherited the fallout of that conflict and is a descendant of the losing side at that so as I said the animosity is understandable and more justifiable than Ashley grumbling about aliens when it was the Alliance brass that disgraced her grandfather.
