first, looks like you're a new member to the boards, so welcome.

sadly, they just removed threads that have had no action in the past year, and that contest was about 1.5 years ago... so as far as I know it doesn't exist on the site anymore.

it was an awesome contest though.

Really good coloring in this pic. The very slight shading in the ice really gives it density, and that backround looks sick.

Really quick/random post...

I like to make my own cards for b-day's and stuff, but I ususally do them by hand. Since I've been messing around in Photoshop so much, thought I'd do it that way this time.

Here's the result...

Can't really explain the motivation, as I just started drawing random stuff and this is what came out onto the page.

No EXACTLY fanart, but I thought I'd post it, so you could all judge me.

How's the Spidey pic comin for this month's contest? That oil painted eddie brock is gonna be tough to beat! altho, if the dude had it lying around anyway... isn't that kinda against the spirit of things!? *clutching at straws*t:

Here's an update on my Spidey contest pic.... Sorry its so small, but I messed up sizing it and didnt realize till i uploaded it. I'll fix it later.

It's a pic of spidey about to be attack by The Lizard, Venom, and Doc Ock...

The Lizard and Venom are for the most part done, but Doc Ock especially needs a bit more work, and I obviously haven't even addressed the background...

You get the idea, though.

here's a bit of a bigger version with cleaned up outlines of Lizard, Venom and Spidey...

Any opinions of whether Venom's suit should or should not have webbing on it?

Well back again, with another update today!

Here's a version with all the characters' line work for the most part complete...

Spidey obviously will have webbing and suit design added, and there are a few other details that will change for the rest, but in general I'm gonna start coloring it soon.

Really like it... and the Spidey update is looking great. Something's not sitting quite right with Doc Oc's tentacles for me though... maybe make the foreground section of them a little thicker?... OR... you know, ignore me, like I would if someone critiqued my stuff. ; )

Thanks for the comment... Yeah, I kinda noticed that too when I was adding the segments to the arms so I tweaked it a little. I really suck at that sort of thing, but it looks a little better, at least.

Anyway, here's a version with some base colors and the updates to Spidey and Doc Ock...

not really sure... Im pretty busy, so im trying to do one pic for the fanart contest and one other random pic, every month.
