I’ve always loved the idea of Batman showing up in a tv series as more of a silhouette or a figure in the shadows. There’s something so powerful, horrific and otherworldly about seeing Batman from the perspective of the criminals.

I imagine scenes like a criminal being dragged into a dark space and all you hear is thrashing and bones being broken. Then just as another criminal checks to see what happened, only to find nothing but the mangled unconscious body of his partner, Batman is standing right behind him like a predator in waiting.



Although, I wouldn’t mind if he just shows up as Bruce Wayne so we could see how he’s developing and how he’s adjusting to his role of owner of Wayne Enterprises.

So based on that long list of casting info, I’m guessing O’Connell is Oz’s mom and Aghdashloo is Maroni’s wife. And yeah, it seems most likely that Kelly is the consigliere character.

I wonder what his theme would even sound like. Usually, Penguin’s theme sounds very clunky with heavy brass notes. A comical play on his waddle.

Should his theme be similar, mafia-like, classical, something winter-like in reference to the iceberg Lounge etc.? I’d love to hear some ideas.

I would also love to see some scenes with old songs in the background, i feel like Oz has a very traditional music taste, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Ray Orbison etc. Imagine first episode opening with this track

Wow, those are some good ideas! Penguin never really was one of my top villains until he became a gangster arms dealer. I’ve been trying to get a feel for something that would describe not only this version of Penguin, but his character in general. I like to do this for all the villains. This is something I found that’s similar to what I would love for a Penguin theme.

I will never cease to be amazed that Reeves actually ****ing went there with Farrell.

hope production is smoother than Dune sisterhood and The idol etc. Kinda hoping the other spinoffs are actually closer to filming than we realise. Probably not but would be neat. They should really dig into the Crime Saga aspects.Keep it lowkey and grounded. But make use of characters like Two face and Hush etc.Joker too. DCU batman can do the crazier stuff(while not having to use joker ideally-though it seems inevitable he will show up there too).
