MCU Fight: Aldrich Killian vs Drax The Destroyer

This. She was more impressive in Civil War. Tossing cars and tossing around Cap Level characters like ragdolls with her TK.

But she is a glass cannon. I don't think she has a shot against any of our hypothetical powerhouses, unless she just throws cars at them, which won't do a thing

It's true that in AoU she did use her mind-messing powers by sneaking upon the Avengers, although she did rip out Ultron's heart (yes, he was badly damaged at the time) but in CW she was able to overpower Vision (who's definitely one of the most powerful current avengers) and not by sneaking up on him - she literally took control of his powers, while he was fully conscious and took him down.

Clearly she was holding back big time in CW (having caused the deaths in Nigeria) against her fellow avengers.

But this is getting off topic - I can see a Scarlet Witch vs ...... battle coming.

My money is still on Drax for the current battle - he's tough enough to survive long enough to do something crazy and take Killian out.

This was a tough one, but I think Killian has a definite edge over Drax. Killian simply has a range of powers that Drax cannot match. The way Extremis powers were depicted, Killian and his "soldiers" could generate intense heat and breathe fire, they were super-strong and super-fast and they could regenerate body parts after crippling damage. He was generating heat in excess of 3000 degrees centigrade if I recall correctly, hot enough to melt Iron Man's armor. Killian could also move far faster than Stark in the armor and was strong enough to rip the suit apart with his bare hands. Tony blew Killian up in the Mark 42 and the bastard survived/reformed to fight on.

MCU Drax is strong and durable but he simply can't compete with all of that. Maybe he'll be shown in a more powerful light in IW if that makes sense, or at least more like the comic book version. When Drax was first created by Starlin he was supposedly given powers by Mentor that made him ideal to destroy Thanos. He was exceedingly strong, could fly through space at speeds rivaling the Silver Surfer and had energy projection powers. This would be a different conversation if MCU Drax had that power set. Even then, however, Drax was constantly owned by Thanos back in the day. That version would defeat Killian and I wish he had something close to his original powers in the MCU.

This is a real tough one for me. I want to see Drax actually get some hits in against whoever he fights in infinity war. He's been a bit of a punching bag. I might lean Killian on this one.

Yeah, I don't want to derail the topic either and you make some valid points regarding Wanda taking down Vision. However, I do want to point out that part of the reason Wanda was able to do this may have been related to their connection to the Mind Stone. The Mind Stone while in the Scepter aided in giving the twins their powers, and The Vision's android body was also fused with the Mind Stone to provide him with powers considerably above that of a normal android. So, I believe it is that connection they share to the Mind Stone that allowed the Scarlet Witch an amplification to her normal set of powers to take down the Vision in a more destructive manner. Now that is how I see it, others may see it differently. That is the reason for the fights to get enough people involved so that a more accurate answer can be exposed and provide us with a truer ranking for the characters.

Anyways, back to the Killian Vs. Drax fight.

after seeing Ragnarok I think that Dr Strange wouldn't have too much trouble with Loki - although it's difficult to know exactly what Loki's magical abilities are (illusions definitely but what else can he do ? Clearly he had the power to put Odin under a spell and take his place (and Odin himself says that Frigga would have been impressed with Loki's spell).

She controlled the mind gem, which, it's speculative to say she may be tied to, due to it being the source of her power as well
