We will be doing VS. battles for the MCU every week and will be using the Winners and Losers to create an accurate power tier list created by some of it's biggest fans (you). So don't forget to VOTE and after voting for a Winner please include a comment on which power tier, both the Winner and Loser should reside within. Also, see below for more details on the characters abilities as well as for a list of available power tiers to choose from.
Don't forget to put which Tier group you think Elektra and Black Widow belong to in your posts. Also, don't forget I've now added the option of being able to change your vote if you change your mind.
So, without further delay here is this week's match up.
ELEKTRA
Vs.
BLACK WIDOW
ELEKTRA
- Enhanced Physiology: Her resurrection as the Black Sky by the Hand's Substance granted Elektra numerous enhanced attributes.
- Enhanced Strength: She was able to overpower and knock out all the members of the Defenders, including Luke Cage, albeit the latter was still recovering from being drugged by Stick. During the Escape from Midland Circle, she punched Daredevil in the chest with such force that he flew back several meters, breaking through a glass wall. However, normal individuals are still able to fight on equal ground as her, as Daredevil is able to fight Elektra and land a few blows on her and weaken her. He is also able to take a few hits from her, whereas someone like Jessica Jones could kill someone with just one punch by caving in their chest when she used all of her strength, and toss grown men around casually, suggesting Elektra's strength is between that of a normal human and a super human like Luke Cage or Jessica Jones.
- Chi Manipulation: It is shown that like Madame Gao, Elektra is capable of manipulating Chi, thus, enhancing her strength. It is evident when she palm struck Danny Rand to keep him off balance during their first encounter in Cambodia. She also did this technique against Daredevil(as stated above), and when she "pushed" the furniture that was blocking the entrance to the Royal Dragon..
- Enhanced Durability: Elektra was able to carry an unconscious Danny Rand effortlessly, before jumping through windows, falling several floors, and landing on a car while remaining unharmed. Later, during her fight against Rand, Elektra was able to withstand an Iron Fist punch without suffering any major injury. However, normal humans were still able to compete with her, as Daredevil could counter her for an extended period of time while his fellow Defenders warded off groups of armed guards.
- Enhanced Speed: Rand stated that Elektra was faster than anyone he had ever encountered when they fought in Cambodia for the first time. However, skilled fighters such as Danny Rand or Daredevil are able to dodge her attacks and counter her for an extended period of time.
- Enhanced Reflexes: She was able to fight all four members of the Defenders, while not only being able to dodge all of their attacks, but ultimately gaining the upper hand. She could also deflect attacks from the Iron Fist and Daredevil, who were fighters with years of martial arts training. However, Daredevil was able to land several blows on her during the Escape from Midland Circle.
- Enhanced Senses: Elektra's enhanced senses granted her awareness of her surroundings on a wide range. She was able to single-handedly kill several Hand assassins in a completely dark room. However, her senses are not on par with those of Daredevil, whose hearing is so acute he can hear a person's bones shift as they breathe.
- Master Martial Artist: Elektra was trained in martial arts by Stick to become a warrior of the Chaste. As such, Elektra is highly skilled, and employs a mixed martial arts style that derives elements of Muay Thai, Capoeira, Karate, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and Okinawan martial arts, such as sai fighting. Hence, she was able to overpower thugs, Yakuza members, and highly skilled Hand ninjas, and gained the upper hand against her former mentor, Stick himself, in a duel. Elektra was even able to help Daredevil fight Nobu Yoshioka himself, though she was defeated by the Hand leader relatively quickly. After her resurrection, Elektra's powers as the Black Sky further enhanced her already astounding skills. She was able to defeat dozens of Hand members, outfight Danny Rand on her own, and later managed to briefly parley the entire Defenders before being overpowered
- Master Swordswoman: After her resurrection, Elektra has become extremely skilled in the use of swords, using them against The Defenders and members of the Hand. Her weapon of choice after her resurrection was a pair of wakizashi.
- Master Assassin: Elektra has assassinated many people on behalf of the Chaste. Some of her marks include a pilot in Buenos Aires, a lawyer in Berlin, and at least six people in Morocco.
- Expert Acrobat: Elektra is a highly skilled aerialist/acrobat able to use her skill to evade attacks or for offensive purposes, As she does so by knocking out a member of the Yakuza with a butterfly twist kick and evading an incoming hit from a hand ninja with an aerial and landing it perfectly.
- Multilingualism: Elektra speaks Greek, English, Japanese and French fluently.
BLACK WIDOW
- Master Spy: Romanoff is a dangerous secret agent highly skilled in espionage, stealth, disguise, infiltration, and demolitions. Her talents and years of experience have enabled her to reach a high ranking as a special agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. She often resorts to seduce men to obtain her goals while working undercover, such as when she posed as an assistant to evaluate Tony Stark for the Avengers Initiative. Romanoff's skills are so legendary that Nick Fury created a Lie Detector that he hoped she could not deceive.
- Master Martial Artist: Natasha is one of the best fighters in the world, extremely skilled in the field of martial arts, having mastered arts such as karate, judo, aikido, savate, boxing, lucha-libre style wrestlingand multiple styles of kung fu as well as armed combat with her batons. She has easily taken down many enemies, such as dozens of Hammer Industries security guards, Georges Batroc's armed pirates, several members of STRIKE, dozens of Ultron Sentries, and even the hordes of Chitauri aliens. She is skilled enough to be able to defeat a mind-controlled Hawkeye, maintain the upper hand against Ant-Man, and even hold her own against the much stronger Winter Soldier, though he was able to bring her down in the end. Black Widow also proved capable of defeating many Outriders and managed to compete with Proxima Midnight alongside Okoye, even managing to disarm her, holding her off long enough for Wanda to kill her. In addition, she was skilled enough to stab seriously and almost kill, using the spear of Proxima Midnight, the superhuman Corvus Glaive, although she attacked him when he was unguarded.
- Master Acrobat: Romanoff is highly skilled in incorporating gymnastics and acrobatics into her fighting style as she battles opponents. During her fight within Hammer Industries Headquarters, Romanoff used these skills to defeat the guards. During the Chitauri Invasion, she got to ride a Chitauri Chariot by using her acrobatics to commandeer it.
- Master Assassin: Romanoff is a notorious master in the art of assassination, considered to be one of the most dangerous assassins in the world. She is known to have killed many people during her time serving the KGB and S.H.I.E.L.D.
- Expert Marksman: Romanoff is a very accurate marksman skilled in sharpshooting. During a Battle of Washington, D.C., Romanoff would have shot the Winter Soldier through his eye if he had not been wearing protective goggles. She was also able to throw a Taser Disk directly inside a hatchet in the Winter Soldier's metal arm.
- Black Widow's Bite: Electroshock weapon that can deliver powerful electrical discharges from two bracelets worn by Black Widow. When the Chitauri forces invaded Earth during the Battle of New York, Black Widow used the Widow's Bite to electrocute several enemy troops by jamming her charged fists into them. Romanoff used the Widow's Bite to take out a pirate guarding the Lemurian Star ship's engine room. Romanoff acquired a more powerful version of the Black Widow's Bite from Tony Stark, which causes the piping in her suit to light up and glow. Black Widow would make use of her bite during the Avengers Civil War, Black Widow zapped Ant-Man with her bite, sending her miniaturized opponent flying away and Widow used the bite to covered the escape of Captain America and the Winter Soldier by using Taser Disks fired from her bite to hold off Black Panther.
- Black Widow's Batons: Electroshock weapons that can deliver powerful electrical shocks to incapacitate her targets. Black Widow used the batons to take down dozens of Ultron Sentries with a combination of her weapons and martial arts mastery and employed these weapons during the Avengers Civil War, although not charged with electricity.
- Multilingualism: Romanoff is fluent in Latin, Russian, English, French, German, Chinese, Italian, and various other languages.
- Gifted Intellect: Romanoff's intellect seemingly puts her on par with Steve Rogers and Clint Barton. She possesses the ability to quickly process multiple information streams (e.g., threat assessment) and rapidly respond to changing tactical situations.
- Master Interrogator: Romanoff was able to trick Loki into telling her about his plan to use Hulk against the Helicarrier to bust him out of his cell. She was able to do a "reverse interrogation"; while she seemed to be in danger, in truth, she was getting all the information she wanted to know.
- Expert Hacker: Romanoff can hack into most computer systems without tripping any firewalls or security. She used this talent to hack into Hammer Industries mainframe and help James Rhodes regain control of the War Machine Armor and enabled him to help Stark fight the rest of the attacking Hammer drones, and again to access the location of Camp Lehigh from the USB Steve Rogers received from Nick Fury.
- Pilot: Romanoff is a skilled pilot, capable of flying a Quinjet with ease.
