Marvel Films MCU Phase IV!

Really? I could see all three joining, no problem. Ruffalo seems to love playing Hulk—a few scenes here and there & a couple weeks work across multiple MCU projects & he’s set to go off and explore his independent/art house projects & activism. Tessa Thomspon too, and I could see Marvel pushing the Lee/Kirby art for Silver Surfer’s aesthetic that should go hand-in-hand with Strange.
It's more that I dont think Valkyrie will leave Asgard, I think she's being set up as the permanent Queen. I'd love to be proven wrong maybe even add Namor

A Defenders film needn’t have Valkyrie give up the throne. Maybe whatever disturbance Strange is tracking brings him to New Asgard’s doorstep. The threat that unites the team could be Asgardian/Norse in history (Enchantress even)

Well you're definitely giving me hope

I see Strange reclaiming the Defenders moniker from the Netflix gang
Im not convinced Dr. Strange ever joins the Avengers, I think they're leading in a Midnight Sons type team for him

Is there any way they could do both? I really want to see them. Defenders would be amazing and I want to see the supernatural characters getting together too lol.

I think Midnight Sons could work as Strange, Blade, Moon Knight, and Rider, there are tons of characters they could use to form a Defenders team, so anything's possible

Yeah. I'd love to see Strange in Defenders as well if possible. Clear Cumberbatch's schedule. :cwink:

So are we thinking that exposure to Infinity Stones, not Terrigen Mists, are what turns people into Inhumans (not mutants)? Let Attilan have the infinity stones & keep mutants separate from that

Capt. Marvel, Ms. Marvel, & the Maximoffs the only we’re seeing in the MCU thus far. Plus there’s rumors that more Inhumans are coming to Disney+ on Ms. Marvel.

I'm excited to see how exactly they pull off She-Hulk. It's a tricky concept. Because one she's a female but two, she's a female Hulk. A character most already aren't satisfied with Marvel handling.

I can see initial blind backlash from people who didn't do their research. Assuming Jen is a genderbent Banner. Also feminists are stronger than ever. They tore Batwoman and Supergirl's tv shows apart.

You have to be careful in today's sensitive world. Ms. Marvel too, as Kamela was never a super interesting character. So it might take some things to make her series stand out.

Why was Kamela never interesting? Her family background alone is super interesting, try to handle conservative muslim family things with modern world ideas is what I love in the comics and should inspire a lot of young migrant girls who want a modern life but family dont allow it.

I understand the diversity aspect. Marvel does well with juggling complex concepts like disablities, religion, terrorism and racial issues. But it's not really what I crave when I watch Marvel.

Again that's just me, I'm more interested in the more fantastical side. Maybe I if Kamela's series has some decent plot coupled with the actions sequences. I'll give it a shot. But you have to admit, they've put a lot on the slate. And some stuff just looks better.

Awesome compilation there.

Glad that Blade is not forgotten then and not going to be crazy far away. Mahershala is going to kill it. Totally confident in that.

Do you guys think they'll give Blade his accent in these films or leave it? Itd be a good way to differentiate between the old films but idk if Ali would do want to do that for a whole film/s

I’d be very surprised if they have Mahersalia Ali do a British accident. I suspect they’ll let Ali speak in his native accent but if Mahersalia wants to try the British accent they might let him.

Surprising to see Blade get a 2022 release date, though getting it out in the Halloween market would be an excellent idea, and hopefully means they're willing to go more "horror" with it.

The next generation of the MCU everyone.

Seeing this kinda hurts. So many new faces, sad to see the old Avengers move on from their classic team ups. Marvel's gonna have to really flex these next few films to get me to obsess over Moon Knight how I obsessed over Daredevil.

In assuming either Dracula or Morbius as his villain. Then again Morbius doesn't seem to be a villain so it could be a team up sorts.

"Howling" Commandos anyone? It'd be a shame if Marvel got to the dark universe concept before Universal. Especially considering the whole Hulk fiasco.

Can't agree less. She's one of my favorite new creations Marvel has put out in quite a long time. I dig smaller, more personal heroics, and with Spider-Man seemingly eschewing that in favor of big team-ups and multiverse shenanigans, I'm glad to see that niche being filled.

Future looking bright.

Yeah, that is kind of a thing. Even if Ms Marvel didn't have her own intrinsic theme and personality ( which she totally does, she's a mix of "Ascended Fangirl" and "Second Gen Immigrant Story" ), she has a very valuable niche: she's the Spider-man style "high end borderline-street level hero", only she's one that Marvel actually owns outright and can use without strings. That is. . . perhaps sad to admit, in terms of "This is why we won't get that much in the way of Spider-man stories", but its pretty relevant to Kamala Khan and why she would logically get a big push.
