Marvel Films MCU Phase IV!

May 2020: Black Widow.
November 2020: Eternals
February 2021: Shang Chi
May 2021: Doctor Strange 2
July 2021: Spider-Man 3
November 2021: Thor 4
February 2022: Black Panther 2
May 2022: Captain Marvel 2
July 2022: Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3

I think you nailed it. The only things id change is id swap black Panther 2 and Shang-chi. Coogler is already working on the script and production is expected to begin early next year. Id also move up guardians 3 to May 2022 and that lets us close out Phase 4 with Fantastic Four. And Spider-Man movies are dated by Sony. So we could get 4 movies in 2021 or which ever year Spider-Man 3 drops. The only problem with moving up Guardians to May is where does Captain Marvel 2 fall. I would have previously put it in Feb 2022. But Thor 4 being confirmed I think has thrown a wrench in everyone's predictions. Since Thor is typically a November franchise.

Since you could have had shang-chi in November 2021. In case you forgot Thor 3 was actually supposed to be released in July 2017 before Spider-Man came back. So Thor 4 could technically be July 2021. Leaving November 2021 free for Shang-Chi mirroring Doctor Strange debut in November 2016. Then there's Ant-Man 3. If Spider-Man 3 is dated by Sony. That free's up a slot for Marvel/Disney in 2021. Which would be about time for a third Ant-Man movie.

Taika and Gunn are my favorite filmmakers from the MCU so this only adds for my excitement. Thor has become my 2nd favorite OG Avenger after Hulk. Please give us the Hulk that we deserve. :hrt::O

I’m doubtful that a Thor 4 and Spider-Man 4 will happen. So far the Feige hasn’t gone beyond 3 solo hero movies.
Ended Ironman at 3 movies
Ended CA at 3 movies, even though Civil War wasn’t really a solo movies.

Tom Holland's fifth movie as Spider-Man is coming out next month, there is no way this young actor is going to get stuck playing this character for 8 or 9 movies. No one makes the Chris Evans mistake anymore.
Feige knows that 4 movies is too much, which is why he never went that way.

To be clear again, Fiege don’t do over three solo movies.
We’ll get SM 2 this year and SM 3 in 2022 and that’s it.

I basically ignore that particular poster...not “officially” (yet), just skip over their posts. They are very hard to take even remotely seriously.

My new update on release dates

2020
May- Black Widow
November- Eternals

2021
February- Shang-Chi
May- Doctor Strange 2
July- Spider-Man 3 (Sony)
November- Thor 4

2022
February- Black Panther 2
May- Guardians of the Galaxy 3
July- something new, possibly Nova or Ironheart

2023
March- Captain Marvel 2
May- New Avengers
July- Spider-Man 4 (Sony)

Ant-Man 3 has been cancelled in favor of Thor 4. Ant-Man and Wasp should show as guest stars in another movie. No X-Men or Fantastic Four before 2024.

Shang-Chi is definitely coming before BP2. They're already doing casting for it, so it's pretty safe to say it's third in line. It definitely makes sense that this will be in 2021, allowing Marvel to release three of their own films with Sony/Spidey having its own separate date. Color me hyped.

Now... Who do we get to voice Bill?

Did you not read any of the news the past day or so? Waititi is returning to direct Thor 4 so it's happening. Feige said that Coogler only recently began to outline BP2 so a script isn't even close to being ready yet.

This is great news. Bring on God King Thor & more New Asgard
I don't think they're gunna' feature New Asgard again anytime soon, at least not as we saw it in Endgame; some washed up town on the coast.

There's got to be more to New Asgard though, I mean, where did all those Asgardian soldiers come from after the reverse snap? It looked like they came from old Asgard, but that literally can't have been possible.

Well, for all of those who were so sure Marvel Studios would only stick to trilogies for their single characters, if this actually pulls through, then that train of thought prove fans really don’t know for sure what Marvel Studios will or will not do.
Hell yes!!! RIP, “they only do trilogies” argument.
Maybe Thor 4 is simply the start of a new trilogy? ;)

The reason I'm so excited. Throw in Hulk and its already a perfect movie.
Great news on Thor 4, bring me Hulk and BRB and I will be a happy man.
I'm not so sure we'll see Hulk or Valkyrie this time around; they're both on Earth now, doing their thing, and Thor has gone cosmic.

I guess it depends what Gunn does with Thor in Guardians 3, cause he's bound to play a part in that. I suspect Guardians 3 will have him dropped off somewhere at some point in the film though. Unless I'm also mistaken, wasn't Guardians initially envisioned as a Trilogy, in which case characters like Rocket and Groot (could) move onto Thor 4 and beyond.

I expect we'll see BRB in Thor 4, but beyond him, I'm really not too sure.

I think BP2 will be out of 2021, SM3 in 2022 and there will be no Thor 4
...someone hasn't been paying attention. Thor 4 has been confirmed. It's happening.

Hulk, maybe. But there's no way Valkyrie will not be in it. Tessa was even the first person that hinted at Thor 4.
Tessa may want to be in it, but if she is, I can’t see her having a big part, not when you think of where she’s at per Endgame.

I suppose she may make an appearance in the film at some point, especially if Thor travels back to Earth (maybe he’ll need to speak to her about something before his time - she is older than him, but I can’t remotely see her being a main character. Maybe in Thor 5, but not Thor 4.

There are reports of a War Machine streaming show be developed.
I thought that was ancient news?

What is the point in making another Thor, like Iron Man and Cap, Thor’s story has been told and over. I’ve would rather see new and different heroes coming to the MCU, not the same old stale heroes.
Seem like Feige is starting to run out of ideas.

He signed a new deal with Marvel recently and has said that Thor: Ragnarok and the last 2 Avengers films has reinvigorated his passion for the character. He's not weaseling out of anything, no matter how much you think he will.

No offense to Chris Hemsworth but he needs Marvel more than Marvel needs him... he's not going to stop playing Thor anytime soon.

And I don't want him to. What I want is another Thor trilogy. Why the heck not
