The problem is she needs skin contact (unlike Scarlet Witch when she used to have her mind powers). Which means she has to get close enough to the enemy to touch them. That automatically makes her mind control powers much less powerful. Because the chances of her not getting crushed before that happens, are slim to none. Unless it's a sneak attack ala IW but for that she needs a team up.
But I'm kind of baffled by so many GOTG characters outranking Gamora and Nebula. Star-Lord and Yondu too? What has Yondu done in terms of feats that I missed?
Yondu's arrow has taken out a massive amount of people in a matter of seconds on 2 occassions. His arrows fly through the targets and can be controlled to make sharp turns and then be directed at new targets, continuing the cycle until you have a massive amount of characters quickly killed on screen. So, I think based on his attack feats with his arrow that has range he is in the proper tier. However, during battles characters have the opportunity to win or lose their way up or down the tier list. This includes now even being able to move into another tier through battles. However, we also during battle ask that people voice their opinion about a characters tier placement and if enough fans agree that a character belongs in a different tier then they would be moved to that tier at the end of the battle. Such was the case with Pre-Eternal Flame Surtur. So, it's important to know through battles the characters will eventually find their correct Final placement (at least as of the most recent itteration of the character when the battle took place). However, until they reach their Final Placement in Blue, the Green characters are Moving up and the Orange chararacters are Moving down to head towards that Final placement. Red characters have not been used yet and have no placement yet through battles, the only placement they hold is our opinion on the power tier we feel the characters belong in at the time we added them. So, with this information you should be able to piece together that Gamora fought Captain America and lost due to the votes Fans cast during their battle together. This resulted in Gamora turning Blue at the time as a result of her reaching the floor of the tier. Note at the time her battle took place we did not allow battling into other tiers. So again she reached the floor of the tier and in doing so reached what we consider to be a final placement that is relative to the other characters in Blue. Then later a battle occured between Starlord and Captain America and Starlord lost, so he turned orange since he lost and is battling down the tier from that location. So, his position reflects a loss to Captain America and not that he is above Gamora, as that has yet to be established. So, if Starlord fights Gamora next for example, and he wins then it would be Starlord in Blue above Gamora in Blue, but if he lost then it would be Gamora in Blue above Starlord in Blue. Again though if we have reason to believe the character is in the wrong tier we could even continue by fighting the character from the bottom of the tier above with the character at the top of the tier below. This also works for characters that are moving up tiers, in some cases because they might have a newer showing with feats and abilities. For example Thor who is currently at the top of the Power House Tier can fight Ultron Prime at the bottom of the Transcendant Tier. Thor's placement seemed correct to fans after Ragnarock, but then he showed up in Infinity War with a whole new set of Feats many now feel he belongs in the Transcendant Tier. So, This battle can now take place to re-establish a new Final placement based on the newest itteration of the character. As a result even characters with a Final placement status are still in flux. Therefore, the only characters that can really truly be considered to have reached a final placement are those characters that are never to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe again. Also, this is a very long process. As I think BigThor mentioned this has been going on for several Months and there are still many characters that are on their way to placement or have not even fought their first battle yet. So, the list is definitely not accurate at this point, but hopefully this explains the process involved and how we are aiming at one day far in the future ending up with a tier list that feels as comprehensive and correct as a tier list can be for fictional characters.
I hope this helps you.
Thanks!
