MCU vs thread....controversy and chaos

No, I'm not even remotely bringing that one up. However, I feel that the Invaders should come into play since Cap was mention in Cap Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Falcon and Winter Soldier. We know that Steve goes back in time, there are threats in the past that he may or may not have fought without knowledge the future.

Too bad.....I thought it was a good idea. :cwink:

It's a great idea....but I think somethibg like that will have to be done in the What If??? series.

True....I forgot about Namor. We've used Fox characters so HT is in. I'll bet we get a Namor sighting in the next few years. He'd be a no brainer for FF and I "think" he's available as long as it isn't a movie about him??? There's even talk (which means nothing) about a Wakanda tie in.

Although, on second thought, bringing in Namor wouldn't be the dumbest thing we've ever done.......

Red Skull wins. Next up:

vs Lady Loki Sylvie

Who you got peeps?!

I'll say Agatha should win - but the way Sylvie was written she could power through anything ( especially Loki, who was a complete pu$$y in his own series).

Agatha could probably survive what Sylvie could throw at her and had much more powerful and versatile magic.

So Agatha.

Agatha

Only chance that Sylvie has is if she figures out a way to stump Agatha's magic but I don't see that happening. She's too OP.

Except for that one time when he (somehow) lifted a building using telekinesis

Yeah, I mean that would have been useful against the Hulk or Thor but nah ! ****ing terrible writing.

And anyway, he made up for that one cool act by following Sylvir around like a love struck puppy, getting punked by human tva agents and crying.

What a *****. I used to really like Loki as a character, but that show ruined him. :barf::barf::barf::barf:

The only good things about that show were Alligator Loki and Classic Loki, who went out like a boss.

Don't get me started on this show! :argh: I LOVED the last episode but that's it. They had a chance to redeem Loki and FOR ONCE let him go all out and let us see what he can actually do but he got his ass handed to him all through out the show. Dude has a plan inside of a plan but not once did it show in this show. Not. Once. But I digress!!

If it was Loki from the OG MCU, it would have been him who steals Kang's bracelet of time control - and zapped Sylvie into a portal, and then he would have taken over as the new ruler of time and space.

Yeah, I did find it kinda difficult to watch those scenes. Like, this is a guy who has fought THOR in single combat (albeit with the caveat that Thor was clearly holding back and not trying to kill him) and who was tossing Captain freaking America around like a ragdoll. Loki was serious enough that Thanos was willing to entrust the Mind Stone with him and send an army of Chitauri to help him take over Earth.

But now we're supposed to believe that some regular, non-superpowered guys (and gals) in funny suits are a threat to him?

I still enjoyed the show overall, but I HATED how nerfed Loki was.

Bro, it wasn't just Loki's powers and super strength that were nerfed. Where was his ****ing charm and cunning and scheming - his will to succeed and ability to think quickly ? Where was the Loki who took out Kurse and set himself up to take over Asgard ?

All of a sudden he sees a video about himself and gets a bit sad and loses all sense of agency...because that's how character development works in this show. Pathetic.

The concepts behind the show were interesting but it should have been called "Sylvie....guest starring Loki after he's lost his balls."

I mean Classic Loki and Alligator Loki had more agency than Hiddleston, and they were only in the whole show for maybe 20 minutes.

Maybe the Macguffin of season 2 can be Loki's cojones, and the quest to find them.

I did find it a bit ridiculous how Loki just accepted that the video was definitely genuine even though forging some footage like that would clearly be WELL within the TVA's capabilities.

vs Dr Strange

Who you got peeps?

Well, Kang has 31st century tech including the bracelet that allows him to move through time/open portals etc. And some degree of control over Alioth, which is a purple fart cloud of death.

If that's Strange with the time stone, he can theoretically counter Kang's time manipulation powers, and if you take that away Kang's just a guy.

However, Kang has an almost unbeatable advantage in that he has access to future knowledge- he knows what will happen ( up to a point, at which he dies) and that would make nearly anyone invincible - if you know what your opponent is going to do, you know what to do to beat them.

However, with the time stone Strange can see millions of possible futures - which counters Kang's future knowledge..

So what I see is the two of them locked in a never ending cycle of looking into possible futures, trying to work out how to beat the other.

As such, a draw - unless the time stone is able to overpower Kang's tech ,( and seeing as the TVA can render Infinity stones powerless, that seems unlikely)

At this point I'd like to point out what total ****-wits the writers of Loki are, and how much disrespect they've shown everything that came before. You see, if the TVA was pruning all the timelines into a single stream, there would only be one possible future, wouldn't there.
Also, the Endgame time travel to alternate past wouldn't work either, because the TVA reset the timeline after they prune.

Did these *******s not bother to watch Endgame ?
While Loki lacks the preachy racial politics of FATWS, lacks the incredibly questionable morality of WandaVision ( i.e. the real villain is Wanda !) it commits a more egregious sin by ****ting on everything in the MCU that came before it ( and was written by much more talented people) especially the character of Loki.

That actually makes sense. Plus Kang must be a lot more smarter than people are giving him credit for because he took out a lot of Kangs so he is not some push over and some people seem to think.

Remember that Kang only saw everything up to a certain point. DS with the time stone might not have that disadvantage.

I pretty much agree with this. One way for Kang to win is if he could trick Strange into following him into the TVA itself, since he wouldn't be able to use his magic there and would basically be defenceless.

But aside from that, Kang and Strange are going to be stuck in an endless time loop.

So, a draw.

They need to clear up whether or not free will actually exists in the MCU now. Because the existence of possible alternate futures (including the 14,000,000+ ones where Thanos triumphed) would seem to imply that there is and that if our heroes had acted differently, it would have produced radically different results.

However, since we now know that everything that's ever happened did so simply because Kang wanted it to, it raises the question: what were all those alternate futures that Strange saw? Were they fake? Was the Time Stone deceiving him?

I actually enjoyed Loki as I was watching it, but the more I think about it the more confused and frustrated I am by so many of the decisions they made.
Speaking of those 14,000,000 different ways that Strange saw................I wonder now that the multiverse is back open again is there a chance we get to see a more comic accurate Thanos again.

I'm pretty sure they're done with Thanos now. Bringing him back would completely undermine and ruin IW/EG in the same way that bringing back Sheev ruined the ending to ROTJ.

Thanos is going to be in the Eternals. Not to mention he is such a great character, they should really bring out the classic Thanos because the MCU version is basically a smart Hulk with the gauntlet. Comic Thanos is so much more.
