Marvel Films MCU X-Men - Part 4

Kinberg being brought over as a beautiful creative consultant will at least help launch the franchise again within a grounded “street-clothes” realm which right now the MCU needs and has very little of. It will be fresh, subversive and innovative in the realm of the joke riddled MCU

There’s a sharpness to Kinberg’s kinetic skilled approach that really will improve upon the MCU’s emerging tepid writing style. Kinberg means business and so does K-Feige. The team up of them together would be a masterstroke.

Kinberg is here to provide an entertaining bone for his creative thrusts. Let us embrace and enjoy these thrusting forces and ready ourselves for the next phase of the MCU. I find the whole thing so fresh and full of fire. It will be an awesome time to be a fan of the X-men in years to come
Tell me..how much is Kinberg paying you?

I believe Kinberg does enjoy and like the X-Men a lot, but I don't believe he's passionate about the material, which is one of the major things Marvel looks for.

I'm sure he is passionate about Logan's struggle with his own identity, and the complex relationship between Charles and Eric, with their ideology conflicts. But that's 1% of what the X-Men can offer, and when you stick only with that 1%, after so many years, when you have that world to embrace... You're not the right choice.

Kinberg's vision of the X-Men is very limited, to say the least.

I think he only likes some specific characters a lot. Magneto for one.

But the strength of X-Men lies in the team with their different personalities and history that clash with each other, none of which he succeeds at.

There's always excuses that there isn't enough screentime for everybody, that the characters will be developed in the next movies, deleted scenes, etc. But here we are with Angel (Warren Worthington), Psylocke, Emma Frost, Jubilee, Banshee being one and done characters. Unacceptable. If that's not playing favorites, I don't know what is.

Forget what other CBMs have done. Look at the comics. Look at the animated series. It ain't rocket science. Enough of the mute mutants.

This could work. Sure it would be nice if he wasn't as old but in theory they could still get 10 years out of Keanu at least if he stays in shape. Patrick Stewart is what? 78 and still acting.

Margot Robbie would be such a good MCU Emma Frost, but as long as she’s tied up with Harley, that’ll never happen.

This is why the MCU handling the X-Men is the best thing that could have happened to this franchise

With all the divisiveness with Game Of Thrones last season causing a lot of fans to sour on the idea of the David Benioff and D. B. Weiss doing a Star Wars film I now do wonder if the same thing could happen with the Duffer Brothers if Stranger Things season 3 turns out to be as polarizing or problematic as Game Of Thrones’s last few seasons were — will fans change their mind on the idea of the Duffer Brothers directing an X-Men film?

It’s certainly something to ponder. Stranger Things season 3 is said to be taking a lot of risks with its storytelling that might turn some fans off. I wonder if people here will still be for the Duffers to helm an X-Men feature after Stranger Things season 3.

Hmmm.

If your referring to the plagiarism lawsuit that was dropped. Didn't even make it to trial.

No, I’m not talking about that. I’m referring to a hypothetical scenario in which the Duffer Brothers end up in the same position the Game Of Thrones showrunners are in which they alienate their fanbase enough to make them actively despise the idea of doing another big franchise if they disappoint the fans severely with Stranger Things season 3 or a really controversial last season that gets the same Last Jedi/Game Of Thrones level of backlash then people are going to start doing a complete 180 on the Duffer Brothers directing an X-film.

They aren't even candidates for the MCU X-Men. I can easily see Marvel Studios hiring someone unknown or new, that isn't attached to a popular streaming show.

Tell me..how much is Kinberg paying you?

I’m not paid by him. I am simply observing what is truth and what there is to behold. Please learn from the newly released clips. He has shown a distinct auteur slick realistic gritty grounded style, akin to Nolan in some respects. The latest DP clips are simply sublime. The dialogue is so crisp, layered and philosophical and the featuring of Mystique, usually a one note villain, as a complex character with a full story arc is unexpected, sincere, unique and pure. No other auteur would attempt this with such gusto and bravery. Simon puts a simple attachment of sex where needed and healthy ‘street-style’ realism where no one would dare. In emergency situations, heroes won’t have time to dress up in costumes. They will just go after the problem and manage the situation

The other aspect is the unique action. Specific carefully crafted moves and choreography lead to intense heated moments, unlike the overbearing nuclear assault overload of visuals and action scenes of other comic films. Kinberg is utmost exquisite in his ability to craft a well constructed intense action scene with meaning, drive and purpose. For all of these reasons and more, Kinberg should really be brought on as Feige’s personal thrusting consultant on X-Men and Fantastic Four. Hopefully Miles Teller will be involved in some capacity. He would make for a perfect Cyclops or Colossus

Did u just say auteur? Lol u remind me of someone I know lmao

Unfortunately, I think by the time of DOFP Halle was just glad to be there, with whatever she could do. Her career wasn't all that after a string of bad movies in late 2000s. She is enjoying a bit of a resurgence now, but she's still not gonna nab the same roles someone like Viola or Taraji can nowadays.

As for MCU Storm, are you guys yay or nay for her big speeches like in TAS?
I don’t know if TAS Storm’s big speeches would translate well in live action but you never know what Marvel could pull off.

Yes, at 5'9, 5'8, 5'10, 5'8, 5'9 and 5'10. That was my point in bringing up Kit Harington and saying the 5'3 actor pool isn't a very large one (no pun intended). Even the guys who are considered shorter are still bigger than classic comic Wolverine, which is why I don't have a problem with Marvel not getting someone of his exact height.

Listen, I don't know why you're being so combative about this or why you seem bent on trying to read into things that aren't there in my posts, but I'm just gonna add you to the ignore list and call this a night before this thread goes any further off topic. So, bye, I guess?

Having just watched her recently in Native Son, I'm still pulling for Kiki Layne.
Still Team Kiki here

Hmmm.
Isn't it as simple as having to actually watch the season first?

I may need to start actually buying X-Men comics again. And FF. Exciting times.
