My only problem with that is there's some nasty Mutants out there. And they'd probably be causing some trouble and wouldn't be unnoticed. Idk
Maybe Shield helped keep that stuff contained in the past? Maybe Xavier has been working to keep the existence of mutants a secret? Maybe the "mutant problem" hasn't exploded to the point where its on the news every night yet.
The key is having mutants appear in the MCU organically, like its a natural expansion of the universe. Have it be a new thing that we are just now discovering.
I just think the cross over would feel more special and unique with two universes colliding together. I just haven't seen that in a superhero film.
Acting like mutants suddenly became a thing in phase four just feels forced to me. Especially with a the destruction that has been happening in the movies. At least with a separate universe, it would make more sense why they were nowhere to be seen for the first twenty films.
Why does every aspect of the Marvel universe have to appear at once? Why can't it grow and expand in an organic and natural way and introduce new elements that we haven't seen yet?
